It's dependant on the price of oil, which is currently high.
If there was more oil available, the price of gas would go down.
A war in the middle east is likely to increase the price though.

Well yes, if there is ever stability in the middle east and there are other realistic forms of fuel to drive down the price and our dependence on foriegn oil. So basically, not for a while.

peak oil is a major scam, the companies purposly shut down refineries, why would they do that if they were teling the truth, it doesnt make sense, and the tanks in iraq are gas guslers, by the way, gas in iraq is 5 cents. i am not joking. that is a conspiracy, bush is a monkey. it is 40 cents a galone is iran, that is why they are next.

Not if there is still demand for gasoline. That and it's a limited resource, so there will be less product and the same amount of demand which will drive the prices up further.
