I am 16 I will be a junior in high school this year. I have some relationship exp. but nothing very serious. However I really like one of my closest friends and have for a couple of months now the only reason i havn't told her how i felt or asked her out is because one of my other friends has liked her for a long time. Now she does not like him but he is the kind of person who if I ask her out and she says yes will hate me for the rest of his life. What should I do?

I am better friends with the girl than i am with the guy dont know if that changes aneything but thought i shuld put that out there.

Okay. So this girl is one of your closest friends and you like her, a lot. How close are you and this guy. I think you should just go for it and ask her out. Your friends should understand that you have to do what is true to yourself. Good luck!!

Trust me im 23 so let me give you a piece of advice. At this point of your life i wouldn't worry so much about dating and relationships just yet. When your a teenager girlfriends will always come and go and most of the time things don't work out because teenage girls most of the time arn't really serious about relationships just yet. At the momment i would say friendship is the best thing in life. You can always find a new girlfriend when things dont work out but you can NEVER replace a friend. Friends are for life. So enjoy life with your friends as much as you can and look for love when your ready to settle down in life. Besides when you have a girlfriend your not all that free any more. So remember your friends always come first and then girlfriends come later.

This is a tricky one, isn't it? I think I would have a heart-to-heart with your friend (the guy who likes the same girl) and tell him how you feel. It's not going to be easy but at least you are being honest. B
