so theres a room with a door.inside the room is a lite bulb.outside the room are lite swiches.there are 3 swiches.you have to find out wich swich turns on the lite bulb in the room.but you can only open the door once.

you turn on the first light switch and wait 5 min. then turn it off and then turn on the 2nd light switch and go into the room
then you go into the room touch the light bulb if it is hot it means the first light switch turns on the light bulb, if the light isnt on or hot it is the 3rd light switch that turns on the light bulb...
if the light is on it is the 2nd light switch that turns on the light bulb

I am an electrician and I would just check the wiring, then I wouldn't have to open the door at all.
Of course, you could also just leave the door open.
If you want this to be a real riddle you are going to have to set up some more parameters.
What if I peek through the crack at the bottom of the door.
What if I just flip on all of the switches, and then who gives a sh*t as long as the light is on.

Turn on one switch, and leave it on for a few minutes. Then turn it off, and flip a seond switch and immediately go into the room.
1) if the bulb if ON, it's the second switch
2) if the bulb is OFF and WARM, it's the first switch
3) if the bulb is OFF and COLD, it's the third switch (that you never flipped)

You open the door (once) and try each switch. You didn't say that I had to close the door as I test the switches

well you know how there is a crack in the bottom of the door right try each switch and if you see a thin light come through the crack of the door then thats the switch then you open the door

Put something glow-in-the-dark in the rooms. Whatever glows, is the one with the light. Or feel the bulbs.

open the door and prop it open with your foot,and try each switch til you find the right one.
