What are the best, most comprehensive virus and spam destroyers for my new computer. I downloaded SpyBot, but are there other programs that are better at weeding out all of the junk?

I got a lot of great free programs for ya: Avast Antivirus, ZoneAlarm Personal Firewall, Windows Defender, Spybot S&D, AdAware, SpywareBlaster to name a few.

Microsoft Anti-Spyware and McAfee AntiVirus. I've tried many other programs, this combination works wonders. Panda software ruined my computer instead of fixing it, AVG didn't get the job done. But McAfee and Microsoft Anti-Spy just owns those viruses.

Avg .com has a free Virus scan that works great its called AVG its very good and keeps alot of the virus out and checks reg.... you can also scan single files before you open them to see if they have a virus in it.

have been using norton internet security,very good,have no problems.as far as antispyware goes get webroot spysweeper or counterspy both are very good. go to www.majorgeeks for alot of free programs for what you are looking for .

ewido is probly your best bet it worked wounders on my system. And its newier so not many virus or spyware can over-ride it. It cleaned my system out.
