Silly question I know but this morning I was walking home from Mass and I was feeling sad and despondent. I found the tiniest robins egg shell and for a moment I could see God's love and care reflected in the egg shell. I walked the rest of the way home smiling and looking at the wonderful things around me. I believe God sent this insignificant sign to cheer me. You may think I am crazy and I could be but I feel one can find God in the simplest things.

Yes. This happens all the time. I'll give some stories as examples.
1. My job use to take me traveling by car on the roads in Indiana almost every day. One sunny day in the summer not a cloud was in the sky. I was traveling along a country road when I really "took notice" of my surroundings. As far as I could see were the ripened stalks of cornfields. The whole earth was totally beautiful and peaceful in that moment. I instantly was filled with awe. Shivers went through me and the hair on the back of my neck stood straight up.
2. One day I was at a McDonalds to grab a lunch. They were rather busy. As I waited in line, I noticed the woman in front of me was holding her little boy (about 4 or 5 years old). The boy was using sign language to "talk" with her mother. She would "sign" back (and speak at the same time)...he was asking for ice cream and she was explaining to him how the ice cream would be cold. Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized at that moment they were lucky to have one another. The child knew nothing of the "missing" hearing and carried on as usual. It's too bad we all can't learn a lesson about how to keep going in the face of adversity. The boy was a true inspiration.
3. Seeing my daughter born...it brought tears of joy and love to my eyes.
4. Tears again on my wedding day.
I know, I'm a sap, but in these things I find God.
Thanks for the question.

I don't think you're crazy at all. Most people, if they are honest, can say that they have had similar experiences with God. I myself, one of the most significant, is the day I became born again. I won't go into details, but when I got home from school that day, I got to watch my cat have her kittens. God reaffirmed life to me that day, and nearly 20 years later, I can look back and say truly, that was a defining moment in my life and I have never been the same since.
Good luck, and keep on truckin' in faith!

Well, never quite THAT simple, but God did reschedule a flight for me once. I was running late and was going to miss the plane. When I arrived at the gate and saw it closed, and no one was around but a gate agent, I thought I was SOL. But the gate agent told me that I was early - by five hours. I showed her my ticket and pointed to all the monitors that matched the info on my ticket (and showed my flight as boarding). The agent just smiled and said that no, the flight was always scheduled to leave at the time she told me. So I went to the terminal bar, hung out as more people arrived, and sure enough, I boarded my flight five hours later, same ticket.
It's a story that freaks me out and delights me all at once, because no one has ever had a sufficient earthly explanation for it.

Yea, like driving to work and seeing the rays of the sun creating a veil effect through the clouds. So simple - so God. Why do we struggle to find him when he's right there in the simpliest of ways.

I often suffer from sever depression ( i am Bipolar ). The best advice any one gave me was to look for beauty in the small things. Flowers, clouds, sunsets, the taste of jelly. I find God often in those things.

I used to care for myself alone. I can't relate His kind of love until I have my own three lovely children. Its easy to sire children but to love them and relate this feeling how God loves us, it's truly wonderful. Simple but quite a strong message.
