If you don't have insurance you must have one heck of a pocket book. Without looking at your disease i can only guess. Sounds as if you need to have inflamed capillaries scraped away from the roots at possibly 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 &27 with the most sever problem being at 24 & 25. This being your lower central incisors.
The dentist will filett the lower gingiva (gum) to the apex of the root. Take pictures and scrape away the inflamed infected mess you have. Sew you up and prescribe antibotics. Ohh, I almost forgot! Pain killers too! My favorite!
Of corse prior to the actual surgery you will have what is known as a dental exam. This is when the dentist examines the condition of your teeth. He will chart all decay pits ect. The dentist will order a full set of x-ray pics. This will include bitewings, pariapichels and a panoramic view as well. Quite expensive.
The surgery I'm guessing you will need is refered to as pariodontal surgery. I have had the pleasure of working with several good pariodontal surgons in the past.

I hope this gives you the insight you are looking for.

That sounds like periodontis disease, you may not need an operation because it's in a small area. See a dentist and you might need some medication. Since it's in a small area it may just a few hundred dollars. But check out these sites.

You probably just have an infection and can be cleared up with an antibiotic. The recession can't really be fixed but the sensitivity with settle down.
