Almost everyone who says confess says so because they say they'd feel guilt, or they wouldn't be able to live with the shame, or are afraid they'd get found out... Telling just makes the cheater feel better... it's a lose- lose for the cheated on... a). you never tell, they are living a lie, thinking they are in a monogamous relationship and that the faithfullness that they have to the cheater is reciprocated... b). tell and possibly break the person heart, crush their spirit. ruin their life! If they know, you owe them a confession, I mean if they ask you specifically... don't add insult to injury by lying; but if they don't know... a confession is the wrong place to birth a conscience.

I cheated once a long time ago. I didn't tell him for almost a year, and then one day all that guilt nearly killed me so i told him. He was mad and disappointed. I'll tell you what, with all my strength I will try not to ever cheat, because if i do i cheat myself. And those that say I will never cheat, watch out, I said the same thing. When I got married I made a vow to my husband and to God. Think about this, The first commandment was to not commit murder and the second was not to commit adultery.

Never cheat. It's sinful and not fair. If you aren't satisfied with the person you're with, then you obviously should just get rid of them to go after that person you're interested in. Break up with them so it's not cheating. I'd never do it but I guess if I ever did get into that situation, I'd confess.

I have never cheated in my life. . . . . .and am now with the absolute love of my life soul mate so I never will. I guess if you cheat then you know the person you cheated on is not the love of your life or soul mate. The fact that you cheat means you are willing to lose that person. You have already ruined the trust in your relationship and have done irreconcilable damage. Sure things can work out but they will always be tainted. . . . much like your hoo hoo if you sleep around.

If I had any intention whatsoever of staying with the girl I cheated on, I would have to tell her. You can't build a long-term relationship while you're hiding something like that. It would just eat at me. Plus, I would want a woman to tell me, and I would most likely forgive her and get over it. But, hiding it from me would be another matter entirely.

If I was NOT planning to stay with her, what the hell, I'd still probably tell her. It's not like I'd have anything to lose anyway.

I dont know because I have never cheated and I will never cheat. But if I ever did something as equally horrible I would confess because the guilt would kill me.

I don't agree with many people how they consider cheating ( what does the word cheat means ) .
but If one cheats he must keep it to himself .

I would never cheat, but I think if I did the guilt would kill me and I'd end up telling anyway.

I can't take the guilty conscience, I would have to tell. But nothing disgusts me more than cheaters, so I would never be in that situation to begin with!!1
