The puppy will be small, doesn't shed a lot, isn't agressive (like a chihuahua), and his playful (I know this is really hard, but anything good would be apreciated!)

Go to your local shelter and adopt! I know you will find a puppy or older dog that you will fall in love with!

I think your best bet would be a chihuahua, a poodle, or a westie, or maybe a min pin. Most dogs are not agressive unless they are raised that way. Some of my friends had a pit bull that was nothing but a big lover, he would not have hurt a flea! Because he was raised with lots of love and cuddles. Take your time before you decide and spend time with what ever type pup you do decide on. Make sure that your personalities work to gether frst bfore you take him home

You should get a Golden Retriever! They are the prefect dog for a person who hasnt had a dog in their early years. They are great companions, and arent hyper and out of control. They obey your orders, and are easy to have pets. And they are the cutest breed of dog out there, trust me, they are beautiful. So be smart, get a golden retriever puppy!!!

I would best reccomend a Labrador Retriver they are very playful, do not should alot, and are a great companion. They are not a small dog but would probably be best for what you decribed. Small dogs need alot of maintance and shed more than larger breeds.

u should get a chihuahua....they are so cute...or some kind of terrier...get a puppy from a rescue group though. i have 3 dogs and 2 are from a rescue group. they are really sweet. one is a chowchow and he is pretty cool. the other is a doxin/chihuahua kinda funny looking :) but get a rescue dog

Yorkshire Terrier. My neighbor's terrier is 5 pounds, does not shed (but needs haircuts), and is very cute and playful. I would suggest one of those. Also, bishons are really awesome, but need lots of training.

Spaniel :D They are seriously playful... But maybe not small and yea they do shed alot... But they are loving friendly and kind dogs :D
