i know this may sound like a silly question, but my lil female is in heat and our big male keeps trying to "get" her. the size difference is enormous and i just want to know if its possible because its something i do not want to happen. we do our best to keep her inside and him tied outside but she can be awfully sneaky....

My landlord left his Chihuahua tied up outside when she was in heat and a bigger dog came along and "got" her and he had to take her to the vet later on to get her an abortion. The puppies were too big for her to carry. She actually died on the operating table. They were able to bring her back but she has had heart problems since then, so yes it is possible and will kill your dog. You should really consider getting her spayed unless you are going to breed her witha dog that is around the same size as her.

Yes it is definately possible, you need to take serious precation because if this event takes place during birth your little dog could die because the puppies would be so big. Also the pregnacy would be very complicated and could create problems.
