that is an excellent question! this nation has done a lot of good for a lot of people around the world, but when we mess up (as has happened FAR too often), we don't go in for half-measures...we dive in with both feet! i think we have to remember that the Bible says 'pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall' (proverbs 16:18)...we need to stop acting like we are the be-all and end-all of all civilization...speaking to my Christian brothers and sisters, we really need to stop fussing over whether "God is on our side" and start making sure that we, as individuals, are on HIS side...and that includes remembering that we're all on this planet together...we are to be Christ's representatives in this world, it's time we stop acting like a bunch of Pharisees and Saducees and start following Him...

Don't think America claims to be a Christian nation. That would violate the constitution. While there are many Christians in US, it is hardly all Christian. There are a lot of people in the world, and most are not Christian.
Can't we force everyone to act like Christians? Now, how Christian would that be? not very.

First of all, Christianity does not teach pacifism...though some believe it does. Second of all, America does not claim to be a christian nation...Christian radicals claim that of America. Thirdly, a nation with the kind of power that we have ought to promote peace and freedom. I am astounded at all of the claims at how evil we are when this country has more freedom and rights for people than most other countries in the world. Especially the countries in the Middle east...Good grief...many of them are positively barbaric.

When did America claim to be a Christian country? To my knowledge there are many other religions that are thriving here.
This country is far from the podium of virtue over all of the other countries.
And hello, he didn’t actually win the 1st go around, & I didn’t vote for him. He’s an embarrassment to the American people.
He’s nothing but a pawn, just like all politicians.

While America was founded as a Christian nation, we have mostly fallen from that ideal. Many Americans still call themselves Christians, yet do not attend Church, read the Bible, or pray. Our elected leaders no longer vote for the majority, but vote in order to garner minority votes assuming that the majority have no other choice but to vote for them.
While I do not agree with all of your examples, America is truely no longer a Christian nation.

Yes.
And the same could be said of the Muslims who follow Allah's teachings, of his requirement of peace to those who follow that faith.
Same could be said of many many many religions.
This is why, although as powerful as the church has become, there have been so many wanderers from the faith; hypocrisy.
Because even in Christianity, there are divisions; Baptists, Moromons, etc.
We are all under the house of God, yet it's man's desire to segregate, so yes, I believe we are insulting Christ.
And I truly believe we will all answer for it one day.

The American government are the biggest hypocrites.
One example would be the staging of 9/11, in order for political control by your tyrannical leader, George W. Bush.

The so-referred to as Christians in this u . s . is the greater severe murderous lot in the worldwide. The are in many circumstances at the back of maximum plans to lie to different u . s .. They use to sneak in as missionaries. Now they have promoted themselves to highway exhibits/journeys taking 'charitable presents' and 'the notice' to others'. yet actually they're basically the front runners scoping out the organic materials for large agency. in a while, those will substitute into the yank 'pastimes' that justifies sending troops getting in.

America is not a Christian Nation. It's a pagan nation. They teach evolution in school and makes children think that one race is better than another. (Just read Darwin's Origin of Species-The REAL TITLE is alot more interesting and racist.)
