I think integrity is an unbending commitment to civility and decency no matter how unpopular. Integrity is the ability to speak an unpopular truth to 10,000 people.
And, surprisingly, to me the opposite of integrity isn't cowardice but HYSTERIA. A person who is sexually infatuated, hypnotised with greed or enraptured has no integrity at all. This means that a church that handles snakes or approves when people fall down and writhe on the floor or engages of other actions of hysteria -- is -- worshipping -- evil. And as an organization such a church has no integrity.

Integrity is doing what is right, even though you might be bound by no moral code. Or as my teacher Mr. M. once said, "Integrity is doing what's right even when Mr. M. isn't peering over your shoulder."

Hmmm, I think it's a wholeness or a soundness within that allows you, in that moment of choice, to make the right decision based upon your morals and values.
And doing it time and time again until no one doubts that wholeness within you.

It is the highest form of morals. It is honesty. If one can be honest with themselves and others as well, you do a great service to all.
