what is the best guage to purchase(4 gauge? 8 gauge?) what should i buy,i am trying to install a car stereo system,but i dont know what is the top wire kit brand..

Brand isn't the issue.

Wire guage depends on max watts of your amp (or in the case of the link below, total RMS watts).

You'll be ok with most brands out there. Some, though, use poor quality components (low-thread-count in cables, el cheapo fuse housings and connectors, RCA ends that can't get a good connection or fall apart, etc.). Stinger, Phoenix Gold, SoundQuest, Monster, Fosgate, StreetWires, and many others have some good lines of kits (caution on the cheapest series of some though), but you don't have to spend the crazy amount of money that Fosgate and Monster want. It's just not necessary. You can find Stinger stuff that's just as good for half the price. Also check out independent stuff online (I'll link 2 below). They can be just as good and even less expensive still.

Pay attention to what the first responder said about the gauge of power cable. It is determined by how many total Watts you may have going through it. Overkill is ALWAYS better than not having enough.
