Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

It is true that the word "trinity" is not in the Bible, but neither is the word computer. We cannot say computers don't exist solely on the basis that the word is not in the Bible, neither can we say the same about the "trinity".

The CONCEPT of the trinity is found in the Bible. (For what it is worth, I prefer the term "tri-unity".) I cannot adequately explain the trinity or tri-unity, I can only state that the concept is there. Jesus stated that "I and the Father are one". Jesus is revealed to be God, and the Father is called God, and the Holy Spirit is revealed to be God. If there is only one God (and the Bible says there is) yet we are told that three persons are God, then in some way, there must be a unity. There are three, so we use the prefix "tri".

I cannot explain this tri-unity any better because I do not understand it any better. But, the Bible teaches it and either the Bible is all true, or God is a liar. I accept the Bible for truth.

Just because the word "trinity" doesn't appear in the Bible doesn't mean that it is not there. The Bible speaks of God the Father being God, God the Son - Jesus - being God, and the Holy Spirit being God. The trinity explains the three Gods in one. It's like John Doe and John Doe Junior and Jim Doe. They are all three members of the Doe family - or they are all three Does. But they are individual people too.

If you would read your Bible, you will find out a lot of things that would help you ask informed questions, or it might change your life. Either way, are you up for the challenge?

Exactly! and you should know that no Christian would ever disagree with you........BUT your forget something... The Trinity DOES NOT say that Jesus is the FATHER it simply states that Jesus is God. Jesus being the father---Thats called Modalism!!! (look it up) . You have been misinformed on what the Trinity really is.... when a Jehovah witness hears the name Jehovah he/she immediatly thinks "Father" the Christian thinks differently. Think of it as 3 in one "SUBSTANCE" which is God.

Yes "trinity" doesnt appear in the Bible but neither does "Bible" or "watchtower" or "theocracy".. I have read that " Should you belive in the Trinity? " by the Watchtower and THATS a bunch of nonscense!!! You have no idea what they cut out of there..

Finally I quote C. S. Lewis " Think about it! If the Trinity was something we made up--DONT YOU THINK WE COULD OF MADE IT EASIER???"

Im not going to try to answer your question because theres nothing to say, and my religion doesnt believe in the trinity in the first place, but I felt it absolutely vital to my being that I made note of someones answer...

""It is true that the word "trinity" is not in the Bible, but neither is the word computer. We cannot say computers don't exist solely on the basis that the word is not in the Bible, neither can we say the same about the "trinity". ""

Hmm.. good point. wait, computers DIDNT EXIST WHEN THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN! Oh man; I almost forgot.

Aaaanyways, I hope you continue to discover the truths found in the Bible :)

Do you realize just how thick the Bible would be if it contained all of the particulars. It would not be small enough to carry for sure. People say that the Trinity is not mentioned, the Rapture is not mentioned, etc., etc. I will pray that you will study and hopefully understand the things that are not spelled out totally. In studying will be made clear.

WOW! you figured it out! Yeah nonsense is a good word for it. Only people who lack basic reading comprehension believe in the trinity.

PS the response "Jesus is God the son" is so funny
