I would pull a Jarmo Sandelin and get an extra long shaft and lessen the backswing for control. You can almost do a punch and run shot with these off the tee and be right down the middle and 250 - 300 yards but the thing is consistently hitting fairways.

depends on a lot of things.

If you are right handed and hooking it to the left, you grip is probably too closed. If you are left handed and slicing to the left, you probably need to open your grip a bit.

Grip is 80% of most golfers problems. Grab you club with your normal grip and stance. Look down - is your back hand "rolled over" your front hand? if so, open it up so you are not so far over your lead hand. If you hand is rolled to far over or too tight, your club head is snapping around a bit too soon as it strikes the ball which imparts spin which causes the hooking/slicing action. Start with your grip; it solves most golf problems.

to make your shots straighter takes a lot of practice and good timing of your winding. many reasons that can cause this its better to analyze but a pro so they can pinpoint which motion causes your draw or slice.
