I personally have used all 3 programs and I can't say that any are better then the other. The quality all comes from the person you are downloading from since it is all peer2peer. Changing MP3's into the AAC format for iTunes could cause some loss of quality due to the fact you will be doing some encoding over an already compressed file. My suggestion is use which ever program you feel most comfortable with and try to download MP4's as they are already in the AAC format you just have to make them iTunes and there will be no chance of any quality loss. Just make sure not to download a protected file because you can not change a protected file.
Hope this helps!

Kazaa was great till they got adware/spyware heavy. Bearshare was good too, till they go SUPER slow - their servers always crashing. Limewire was awesome, but when the FCC hit up all the P2P services, Limewire took off - they changed the way the servers are run.........this is what I mean: ---------->keep reading<----------
I use to use Morpheus which was THE best of them all - I mean Morpheus totally rocked the house. Then all of a sudden, there was a Morpheus update, version 5.1. DO NOT DOWNLOAD MORPHEUS BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT! Morpheus is now filled with UBER spyware and adware; it's gotten so bad, you'll find a massive load of trojans and worms, like TClock and Alacan.A. Also, morpheus us bugged to such a degree, when you close out the program, in about 20 seconds, it will self restart and connect automatically, freezing your comp for about 60 seconds.
Finally, Morpheus got hit with a sizeable law suit with the other major p2p layers (thank you Senator Hatch, you ******e). So what did Limeware do? They changed they modes and hightailed it, leaving the rest of the crew to pick up the legal fees (which stand at about 4 million).
So here's the answer to your question; forget Limewire, Morpheus, etc.
Use WINDMX

Limewire is the best out of the three. Bearshare and Kazaa downloaded all sorts of stuff to my computer and messed it up.

none of them, because mean people upload viruses and put song or video titles and then people downloading these get their computers really messed up and kazaa, limewire and bear share cannot do anything about this. not to mention that bear share installs spyware along side their installation (the weather bug, bonzi buddy etc). I am not sure if the other ones do, but it is certainly a risk you are taking to use any of them.

Ok to be honest kazaa is the worst of them all. Also WinDmx was shut down not to long ago. Finally you be better of using BitComet or Ntorrent. Just google them, there a lot safer than most p2p sharing programs.
