"the_pretty_one23" - Do you think Christ was condoning terrorism by his statement, "Turn the other cheek" ?
Maybe you have some higher knowledge that you can teach us all. If so, please do tell us; But first, die for us, and return.

I don't think Jesus Christ would be likely to support acts of war; rather, he would support acts of peace.

YES! God makes it plain not to divide the land. I will find it for you as soon as I can.
Here is what I have had time to find...
Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
I am still searching maybe someone else can find it.
I will keep looking until I find it and send it to you, but the land was an inheritance and is not to be divided. It is in the Holy Bible if you want to search for it. I will look because I want to find it.
So when I do I will let you know. But right now I have to go somewhere.

The ultimate message of christ is a hippie one: peace and love and do all things in peace in love.
Can you attack someone in peace and love? Probably not. Can you defend yourself in peace and love? yeah, do you not love yourself and love peace? Do you not wish to prevent war? then wage peace and if you must fight, fight in the name of peace and not in the name of war.
btw, Jesus did comment on politics when he said to give to cesar what is cesar's. Also, personal ethics can easily be applied to politics as they are intrinisicly the same just on a larger scale.
I don't know the finer details of the events of Israel's military action, so I can't comment on weather christ would say yey or nay.

There are governmental ethics and personal ethics. Jesus was not instructing nations, but individuals concerning turning the other cheeck (by the way, there is another greek word for getting beat. Jesus didn't use it. he mentioned a slap...implying an insult. Getting beaten is another matter)
Jesus also talked about wars and rumors of wars...he also used examples of how we should behave as individuals by using kings in warfare as examples. Should criminals go unpunished? I think Jesus would say, no.

God expects you to protect your children, your wife or husband with your life. There is a time for war and a time for peace.
