Your kidding right? I'm catholic and believe me there is nothing to be afraid of. Just realize that catholic masses are more oriented towards asking for forgiveness rather than whatever it is exactly you do in a Presbyterian service (cause you don't call it mass). I've heard people call catholic masses very dry, serious, and funeral-like. If you're asking for forgiveness, then you kinda have to be serious. It isn't a sin to be afraid of a church, but don't let a fear of the CC cast a shroud over it.

It is not a sin to be freaked/creeped out by the Catholic church, or any of their sanctuaries. Especially if you consider that the theology of the Catholic church is an essentially satanic departure from what Scripture actually teaches.
The Bible teaches (and always has) that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus on the cross alone, and nobody can do anything (no good works) to earn it.
The Catholic church believes and teaches that salvation is by faith and works, and their view is a works-righteousness, which leaves their people with no true salvation, generally.
I'd be afraid of it too.

Personally, I wouldn't consider this to be much of a sin. But it would probably be just as well if you could get over your fear. You might want to try learning a few basics about the Catholic Church. Do you know anyone who is Catholic? Maybe you could go to some of these places with that person and they could explain things to you. Hopefully it would help you overcome your fear, and you would learn something at the same time. Cultural awareness stuff. Always good to have.

No, it is not a sin to be afriad of the Catholic church. You being scared of a sanctuary does not mean that you do not love God.
However, did you know that if you think something is a sin and
it isn't, but you do it anyway, then it is a sin, because you thought
it was a sin and went against what you thought was a sin against
God. Anyway, your fear is not a sin. So you don't have to worry.

OMG! and I thought the Catholics were "Parochial!" Oi Vay! The only sin unto the Lord is by one who would follow any variation upon the "law of violence." He is diametrically opposed by the "Law of Love." Period.
God is the Law of Love. The dark force is the "Law of Violence." That is all that religion should say about the matter.
Sadly, kiddo, everything else is a bunch of Dogma (dusty old religious rules) antiques, dark but very important looking ritualistic artifacts. All churches have them to one degree or another. Your Pres Church is familiar to you but I bet there's a kid out there that it would "creep out."
Relax and see it all for what it is. If it helps you get to your heaven great. If not, fine. Live and let live. Good luck in life.

You're not afraid of church per se. You are just afraid of a Catholic Church sanctuary. This is probably just a fear of the unfamiliar. It's not a sin and I wouldn't worry about it. :-)

Sweetie, i imagine that you've a tremendous kind of subject matters happening on the prompt that far outweigh the "what ifs" of the destiny, like having children. you've an eating affliction, which isn't treating your body like a temple of God. i think that there are also some kinfolk subject matters that you aren't to any extent further outlining for us the following that you ought to favor to manage and triumph over, to boot. God can help heal your actual and emotional wounds and perchance then you honestly will experience in yet differently. in case you do not, research why your faith is antagonistic to birth control. I surely do no longer comprehend of any verse interior the Bible that announces that is inaccurate to attempt to forestall being pregnant from going on. It honestly isn't interior the ten Commandments. I comprehend different religions which have this perception and those who go with to maintain on with it, yet i for my section am no longer attentive to the the source. I also do not realize why condoms and birth control pill are frowned upon, notwithstanding the rhythym approach is totally all accurate. No source of birth control is one hundred% sensible, and that i think that if God truly needs me to have a newborn, i'd be in that a million% that receives pregnant even as on the pill. i have never any illusions that i visit twart His plans in that way, rather for the reason that Mary grew to develop into pregnant with Jesus even as last a virgin. you may have a splendidly genuine, doable, God-glorifying marriage without children. in truth, there may nicely be paths that God has for you that can be a lot less complicated taken on my own, or with only a better half at your area. He may call on you to apply your medical education and bypass to some distant or risky part of the international in challenge artwork--an section that you will be afraid to probability taking children to, yet one which needs to take heed to the word. Please evaluate the self-adverse habit that you're enticing in, because God has a plan for you and it does no longer contain slowly deteriorating till you've a heart attack at 19.

The "Church" or the Body of Christ is not the building. It is not the structure that most people label church.
The Church is the people, the christians who make up the followers of Jesus.
So, no, being afraid of a Catholic Church (the building) isn't a sin, heck I'm afraid of those darn pews, they hurt. All that stand, sit, stand, sit, stand, kneel, stand, kneel, stand, sit, kneel, standing... oy.
