I was thinking about meeting a certain person I have been chatting with for the past month. Should I meet this person, and where should I have our first meeting.

I have met several people that I met on the net in person. Actually dated a couple of them, almost had a couple propose to me, actually wanted to marry one of them. My sister is still married to the guy she met online, and it has been almost seven years.

If you like the person enough, go ahead and meet them. Just meet them somewhere not at home, like a coffee shop or something. That way, you can feel them out a bit more in person, see if you feel safe being with them. I used to meet the guys at the Post Exchange (have to be military to get in there, so it made it hard to lie about being a soldier) or sometimes the bookstore (we would go book browsing together). Just trust your gut instinct, if something feels off, leave. Don't stick around, and don't go anywhere with them if you don't feel 100% sure about it.

Ive met someone i first talked to online. From another state even. Turned out okay. you can meet freaks and rapists in the local bar jsut as easily as you can online, so really theres no difference.

Just make sure you meet some where public for a while, dont take your new person home right away... its just common sense. If they have friends you can meet with too thats always nice, and bring some of your friends along... you know, like a double date or something. Anything so you're not in some creepy hotel lounge with some person you dont really know.

I have people from the Net and I regard it as if meeting someone from any other place (bar, club, party, store, etc.) However, if you are meeting this person, do so in a very public place (diner, coffee shop, etc) and it would be nice if a close friend knows that you intend on meeting the person.

Yes, I have and it went pretty good Im still friends with them, but if ur gonna do this then u should meet in a public place and drive ur own car. U may also wnat to have a friend or two go with and sit off to the side that way he or she can watch the whole date to make sure ur safe.

I met my bf on line almost 2 yrs ago. We happen to be from the same area so we met @ a local restaurant. Just make sure if you do decide to met this person you do it in a public place and let friends, parents etc. know where you are. take you cell phone and don't go any with them in their car until you are 100% sure they are safe to be with. good luck!

no dont, if you really insist make sure you take someone with you and meet in a public place where theyre are lots of people and even if they seem normal when you meet them dont go anywhere else with them for the first few times keep it in a public place until you know them properly.

i know it sounds stupid but this is what i did. i talked to someone online for about a year before we met. we talked everyday. i was pretty sure if he killed me, there would be a trail of phone calls as evidence. i told my friend where i was going. i told them i would call them at 9 so they knew i was safe. i felt completely secure with him. i talked to his familly, friends, even an old school teacher (he's 41). i figured if there was something bad or dangerous about him, someone would've warned me. we met at a hotel. it was the best s** i've ever had. we are still together. just make sure you feel 100% safe with them, and still take precautions. good luck.
