It might mean that it just tickled his funny bone. Sometimes people laugh even more when they know they shouldn't. And if the other person gets angry, they can't help it. So wait until he recovers. The first thing he says might be "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to laugh!" Then you can ask him if he thinks you are ridiculous. If he says no, he just couldn't help laughing, you can heave a sigh of relief. But you can't know without asking. Anything else is just guesswork.
