do the online courses. Don't take too many at one time and make sure than you do your homework at night or naptime.

I went back to school to become an elementary teacher AFTER I raised my six children. I was 43 yrs. old, and I loved college! I went on to earn my Masters degree in teaching. PLEASE don't sacrafice your children for college. You will regret it forever! They are yours such a short time and you will still have lots of time to be a teacher later and you will be better at it because of all your mommy experience! A teaching program requires a TOTAL commitment of time, and it can be very frustrating. You will end up hating school, feeling guilty and having miserable children if you attempt to do this now. Wait til later and have something to look forward to! You will aoppreciate your schooling a lot more and you will know you have done your best for your own children. You love your own children, so why go out and become a teacher just so you can spend time with other peoples' kids? Love your own FIRST!

I think it's possible, but you may want to take it slowly at the beginning rather than taking full time classes. One avenue to consider is distance learning, taking it class by class, so you would still be able to have time at home with your family, but to work towards your goals at the same time. As an alternative, some community colleges may offer some childcare facilities or other kinds of support. It's a good place to start checking out your options. There is no reason you can't attain your eventual goal, but you need to be very organized and do some research to find an option that fits your lifestyle needs.
Good luck!

It's absolutely possible and I did it. My kids (I only had 2 when I started) were 11 and 12. I could only go part time because I was married and had a job. Unfortunately I got divorced when my kids were 13 & 14 and I was pregnant with child #3. I was 38 when I graduated with my bachelor's degree. It is always worth bettering yourself. You may just take a long time to do it. Best of Luck dear and GO FOR IT.....nana

Its never to late to go back to school, but its also not easy. If you want it as bad as you say you do, then go for it. If you are not sure about how to manage school and family consider trying to take some online courses at first to see how well you can concentrate. I just got my Bachelor's and I'll let you know the feeling of acheivment is worth the effort in the end.
