Here in the summer,especially with the temperatures reaching 122o in the shade, it is nothing short of SUICIDE to attempt the desert crossing!!! Even at night,the temperatures are in the 90o-100o,and a person dehydrates very quickly!!!! This is the very reason,there are so MANY bodys piled up,that the morgue had to start renting refrigerated trucks,and stacking the bodys of illegals on top of each other,until they can be identified!!!
So,to answer your question,crossing the desert is MUCH more dangerous!!!!! These people are taking a chance on themselves AND their children,dying a horrible death!!!! A lot of those that died,were LEFT by their coyotes,and did not know what else to do,so they wandered in the desert, until they expired!!!!!!!!!! HUNDREDS die in the desert every year!!

It is more dangerous for all Mexican children to have neo-liberal policies such as NAFTA strangling thier workforce. This leads to greater poverty, which typically leads to increased violence.

Repeal NAFTA and replace it with a trade agreement that takes human rights into consideration, rather than treating human life as an economic externality.

You sir have implied that they are running away. Often it is guilty people who run away, so any reasonable person could infer that they could be guilty. I'm not clear on which children you are referring to. Perhaps a child from a wealthy politico in Mexico who was arrested. Maybe the child was helping do some of the illegal things and is in fact guilty.

Whats more dangerous ? That depends on many things. The real question is who is breaking the law. The illegal alien that's trying to smuggle themselves into our boarders risking the safety and sometimes lives of the U.S. boarder patrol agents. Agents not knowing if they are terrorists.
