so i'm still having trouble sleeping.. i've tried valerian root, kava kava, and melatonin before they don't help. i have been taking otc sleeping pills.. i've tried everything.. no mediation.. etc... i have trouble falling asleep. then, if i wake up, i have trouble going back to sleep... warm liquids, soothing sounds, back rubs, earplugs.. none of it helps... any suggestions

no caffiene before bed.. no alcohol.. not a smoker... don't eat late at night... the only thing that seems to help is if i have sex w/ my hubby.. but he's not always up for it when he has to do a concert until 3 am...

Are you stressed out about anything at all? That could be part of the problem... I'd say do something that you find calming, relaxing- like reading a book, for example- stay engaged in that activity, keep your mind off trying to fall asleep, just let it happen.

If that doesn't work, try drinking two glasses of bacardi razz and hawaiian punch in under an hour. ;P

Or watch any Chris Rock stand up.

No caffeine, chocolate or computer - read a book.

Some people are affected by caffeine for several hours after - this include the energy drinks like Red Bull.

Clean up your diet, exercise in the late afternoon, and stay off the computer late at nite.

What do you eat within the few hours before bed? If you consume caffeine, sugar, alcohol, those might be the reasons why you can't sleep. If you consume them, don't consume them after 12 pm and see what happens

IAM GOING TO MEDICAL SCHOOL RIGHT NOW.....ONE WAY THEY TOLD US TO HELP FALL ASLEEP WAS TO LISTEN TO YOUR BREATHS......(YOU BREATHING) COUNT IT LIKE YOU WOULD COUNT THE SHEEP. HOPE IT HELPS!!!
