Absolutely NOT. If there are any defective genes in their background, you will greatly increase your chances of having deformed pups.

If you don't know that already, you may be setting yourself up for more problems than you know!

A female doesn't need to be bred to satisfy her emotional needs. There is an awful lot that goes into breeding dogs right - are you sure you're ready? Toy dogs are not always easy whelpers - do you know how to tell if the pups need to be delivered by an expensive emergency c-section? Do you know how to build a proper whelping box with a pig-rail, so that none of the pups can be crushed behind or under their mom? Do you know what eclampsia is? If you don't, your dog could die. Do you know how to tell when all the pups have been born? If there are any left inside her, they could die and so could she. Do you know where the nearest emergency clinic is? Dogs often deliver in the middle of the night. If there are any problems with the whelping, it may cost you $100 just to walk in the clinic's door - then all the other costs on top of that.
Before you breed, you have to have your vet do a health exam and fecal tests and blood tests for intestinal worms and heartworm to be sure her health is good. Then make sure your dog and the male you select (who should be a champion - your pups will be worth more!) are tested for Brucellosis - a canine VD.
If you breed her to a top quality male from an experienced breeder, they can help you with advice and may even show up to help you deliver the pups - but usually you're on your own. They can also advise you as to whether or not your female is good enough to breed and that she has no major faults that she could pass on. Expect to pay at least the sale price of one pup for your stud fee.
If you just want a pup to keep for yourself, it's a lot easier (and cheaper) to buy one than to breed your own. The pups are going to need food and shots and worming and lots of care for eight weeks. If the mother rejects them, guess who is going to be up twice a night and four times a day hand feeding every pup? Have you got the time and energy? You won't make much money breeding dogs if you're doing it right! One of my breeder friends once calculated that she made less than $1.85 per hour after expenses in a litter with no problems. I bred one litter myself (from champion dogs!), but now I'd rather go and buy the pup I want.

If you're still reading, go to www.akc.org and look up breeders. The best breeders will show their dogs in breed, obedience and/or field work - and they will be members of a dog club that promotes breeding healthy, good-tempered dogs.

Safe meaning one will die? Yes they are safe.

Safe meaning a good idea? Not the best.

The daughter shares half the same genes with her father. Any latent genes have a stronger chance of occuring. Which means you could have some birth defects. So be on the look out for cleft palate, strange numbers of toes, over or underbites. There is also a likely hood of heart problems, diabetes, eye problems, seizures in the pups as adults.

See your vet in the morning for more direction with this. He could spay her or there is an injection that can be given to the female so the eggs won't implant or you can go to term with this. I wouldn't.

NO - sturdy lord what are you deliberating. You under no circumstances go away a woman and her littler the position different canines can get to her. there's a sturdy probability the different canines will attempt to get to the domestic dogs and he or she will die protecting them. I presently have a RESCUE dachshund I took in from Animal amenities, she had 3 domestic dogs - I keep them toddler gated in a separate room and close the door to be doubly secure even as i'm no longer right here with them - and that is dachshunds. you've breeds it fairly is often canines aggressive and also you're taking a probability like this? would not rely that all and sundry 3 were raised jointly as domestic dogs, even as it is composed of breeding domestic dogs, each and every thing differences - you should have studied that earlier letting any of your canines mate. keep that mom and her domestic dogs take care of, secure, and SEPARATE - and get your canines spayed and neutered.

If you are seriously asking that question you should not be breeding dogs at all, as with all animals interbreeding is a VERY bad idea as all sorts of genetic and herditary abnormalities can affect the puppies and can lead to the ***** aborting her pregnancy.

If you want to breed your ***** you will have to find a different male from a different blood line checking that they have had all vaccinations and have no genetic diseases in the blood line then you should have healthy puppies

Might I add--it is not safe for ANY dogs and ESPECIALLY NOT SAFE FOR TOY POODLES--this breed has too many health problems and serious genetic defects in the puppies are virtually guaranteed.

It's not good to breed a female with her father because there could be a chance the puppies may become deformed because the genes are too close and this causes the dna to become altered.

There is too high of a chance than inbreeding like that would cause retardation of the puppies. It isn't worth risking. Try to find a stud that isn't in the family lineage...

Don't do it - its really likely to cause genetic defects because the two dogs are so closely related. Think about it, you wouldn't have a baby with your parent, would you?

My lil dog just had her puppies and I think they were inbred from her dad *accidently I didnt know she was next door then they were stuck. TO put it bluntly Neither of them survived she was in lots of pain and the first one was breech .... Just dont do it

No, it's the same as with people. Inbreeding causes birth defects.
