I was lucky enough to recently be the recipient of some freshly picked corn from a co-worker's farm. She warned me there might be critters. I did find one on an ear or two. I just cut that section out and cooked as usual. (My favorite method is on the grill). The rest of the corn was fabulous. A bad spot definitely doesn't affect the entire ear!

You can cut it off and cook it.It wont turn bad if it has one spot. But if it has a hugespot that covers 3 quarters of the corn , throw it out the window and hope it lands on your annoying neighbors head!
