I am just wondering if it is possible to starve in the dessert. It is entirely possible to have a huge supply of water with you but no food. But that is only if you planned to be in the desert for a period of 2-3 weeks and had an almost unlimited supply of water and shelter from heat stroke. Otherwise unless you actually tried very hard you would first die of dehydration, or if you had water, heat stroke.

I don't see why the can't go hungry. On the other hand, they're probably more thirsty than hungry, but in time, both lack of eating lack of drinking water will make you die. Have a nice day.

Human body can survive for many days without food but only a maximum of 3 days without water.
If you find a water source, you'll probally find food.

They could, only if they were to find a source of water/fluid to drink and set back dehydration.
Dehydration shows signs much before starvation.

St. Guido is right. Remember the rule of threes: Three minutes without air, three days without water and three weeks without food.

Because sand (while having no nutritional value) is edible if you have something to wash it down with.
