Friends are funny things. For some reason they are all different. Some are true, some are high maintenance, some are dumb, but they all have 1 thing in common.
If the preverbable hit the fan they would be there for you.
People always have differing opinions of each other and they don't always get on but that is what makes us so interesting.
Sit back, enjoy the show and be thankful you have great friends.

If I am understanding the question well enough, it is because the person that they are with at the time may find it rude that the attention is not on them.

they each are jealous of your friendship and want to be the center of your attention. immature? yes. but it doesn't stop with high school.
