Standard Poodles can be extremely mouthy and hyper. You need to begin training immediately, either in an obedience class, with a professional trainer and/or by reading some great books on training. (Try not to pick books randomly - there are a lot of bad books out there also!) These are some of my favorites and you can get them on Amazon.com

Any 10 week old puppy is pretty agressive and a standard poodle is a really big puppy. Can you keep it confined so it's not able to jump up on the kids? Like in your yard, or a utility room or something, then just let them in to pet it when you can be in control. Standard poodles take very very well to obedience training, and you will surely want to do this, but it will be months yet. Maybe you should reconsider and get something smaller.

You should get a trainer or let him/her join a program where they will train your dog. Since your dog is still young, its best to being the poodle out for walks, let the dog interact with other dogs and people so the dog will get used to it. If the poodle is a male, consider getting the puppy neutered.
The thing i didn't do with my dog when he was a puppy was take him out for walks to the park cause it was winter and i didn't want him getting sick. But if we let him play with other dogs while hes young he will like it, unlike now that hes older he thinks hes defending the family. My dog was neutered and he was less agressive after that.

Before you take her to the pound why don't you check out obedience training. Some breeds are more hyper than others but they all can be trained to be good members of the family.
Remember, dogs are pack animals, which means that they naturally submit to a strong leader. You must be that strong leader if you want a good pet.

nicely, your domestic dog might desire to proceed to exist without subject, yet he will truthfully have some injuries earlier you get domicile. I truthfully have on no account used domestic dog pads, so i'm not sure what the middle cloth is, yet i might placed down some absorbent cloth, even newspaper, despite if the ink gets on your domestic dog's fur. Is there somebody who can are available in once or twice for the period of the day to ease the transition? even despite if it fairly is barely a in charge older youngster, it is going to help your domestic dog to have some employer for the period of the day. additionally, domestic dogs that youthful might desire to be getting 3 nutrients an afternoon, so a mid afternoon meal destroy may well be good. domestic dogs sleep lots, so the play time in the morning and nighttime is nice. do not subject too lots, domestic dogs are fairly resilient and he won't be marred for existence via this week. delight on your new kinfolk member!

virtually all puppies nip - which is what I suspect is your problem. go with your natural reaction - OUCH(loud) & walk away from pup & ignoure him for 5 min or so - he will learn if he wants to play he must keep his teeth to himself.
I also HIGHLY recomend a puppy kindergarden and if your pup comes from a reputable breeder call them- they may have more breed specific advice and if all else fails may will take a pup that doesnt suit a family back

hi there, little puppy's always like to play. They are like kid,one of you guys has to be the master and is firm with him or her. If you say : NO then mean it. Otherwise he will grow out of his aggressiveness, unless the kids play rough with him. So watch how the rest of the family treats him , and then act with lots of TLC and patience.

The dog is only 10 weeks old. You need to spend time training it. Please either take it to training and stick with the training or place it with a rescue group so that they may find someone who is willing to spend the time with the animal.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS AN "AGRESSIVE" 10 wk.old ANYTHING!!!!
You don't know ANYTHING about puppies?? They ALL bite & bark & growl & chase & NEED TO BE TAUGHT **EVERYTHING**!!!
Maybe you should bail now, before you ruin a perfectly nice pup. Take it back to breeder.

We need more information to answer. Puppy behavior can seem pretty extreme, but will pass.
