My dad had a cat when he was little that lived for 17 years before he had to shoot it. He buried it in a manure pile and the damned thing must have not been fully dead because later that night, face half blown off and covered in poo it was at the front door wanting to come in. He has a picture and everything, very creepy.

My cat, Natasha, had to be put to sleep when she was 21. It was very sad, she had chronic asthma for most of her life, following a bout of cat-flu when she was about 3.

I had to have one put down when he was 16 and another when she was 18, and another at 12. The 18 yr old was just way old and not eating and dehydrated, the other 2 had cancer, or at least masses.
