Sit up straight in chairs, walk with your stomach in, chest sticking out, and back straight. At first it'll feel awkward and hard to do, but it will pay off when you have no back pain and good posture

I'm with you. Think our best bet is just to try and sit/stand up straight whenever it occurs to us.

And the brace thing is a bad idea - that will weaken the muscles even more.

They say it takes 3 weeks to make/break a habit. Good luck!

Substitute an exercise ball for your chair--you can't slouch in it, and it helps keep your core activated and makes you use muscles to keep yourself sitting up straight. Remember to keep your shoulders back--don't roll them forward. Also, try yoga--it helps a lot!

Wear a brace they can help a lot! You can get them at the store and they are just like gel cloth like things and are not that expensive.
