(UP arrow) seems like you upset a fellow fatty.
I hate the fatties that order 13 tons of fried foods and then decides to get a diet soda to watch their calories..

I work with very obese people and I want to say ...who are we to judge? Have we walked a mile in an obese class 3 shoes? I think we would change our tune if we did...We never know, who the next obese class 3 could be. The next time it could be one of us.No one is protected. We could end up with a brain tumor or have thyroid gland problems or other health problems and gain weight ++ following complications
For some, the weight is the result of very painful emotional problems with poor coping system or from taking medication that change their brain chemistry, some were abused...etc...they use food like others use drugs, or alcohol.
I take the time to talk & listen to them and to have soul to soul conversation. Those people suffer....a lot....nobody is happy to weigh 400 lbs and to have to buy 2 pairs of underwear to convert them into 1 pair because there are no stores that sells underwears big enough to fit them.
There are people we see, slim and trim, biking or jogging in a very compulsive obsessive way...Do we judge them? afterall, too much of a good thing is not any better...Of course not. It just look good to jog like a maniac BUT although it looks healthy, it may not be any healthier then the obese who gorge on food in public. It is just another bad coping mechanism with a twist...it looks healthy.
Some obese people just eat because they never learned what healthy eating or learn healthier coping mechanism. Also, when someone is poor, it cost less to buy junk food then healthier food.
Please...the next time you see a large person gorging on food...turn your head away...and pretend you didn't see anything.
Liz

ha. this was funny. it was also funny to read some of the "holier than thou" people's responses. but yes, seeing overly fat people harming their bodies even more does make me sick. i hope i can do something to change that one day.
i'm sure if i should feel pity, because in today's day and age, there's almost no excuse for becoming informed about healthy eating and exercise. so, ignorance is no excuse. neither is the "i'm too busy" line. because honestly, it's your health. it NEEDS to be a top priority. and it really doesn't take too much time.
for instance, make a trip to your grocery store on the weekend. buy some healthy staples like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean meats, fat free dairy, and sources of good fat (fish, nuts, olive oil). that shouldn't take more than an hour, and these things do aren't even expensive. as for exercise, i'm sure you can find time for 3 half hour sessions per the week. go to a gym everday other day, do the following exercises to hit every muslce group in one day: squat, bench press, pullups, and romanian deadlifts. seriously, that's all you need. i do that routine and i'm in and out in about 30 mins.

REALLY IT IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN WHO IS FAT AND WHO IS NOT, I AM FAT, I HAVE HAD 2 KIDS AND HAD A VERY STRESSFUL THING HAPPEN TO ME, I GAINED 50 POUNDS IN 4 MONTHS, AND CANNOT LOSE IT, I WORK 12 HOURS A DAY, THEN COME HOME AND DO HOUSEWORK AND FINALLY GO FOR A WALK AND I DONT LOSE WEIGHT, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, NOT ALL FAT PEOPLE ARE FAT BECAUSE THEY ARE LAZY OR EAT TOO MUCH. FAT PEOPLE CAN DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THEMSELVES MORE ATTRACTIVE, BUT SKINNY PEOPLE THAT ARE UGLY CANNOT.

do judgemental, ignorant people make you sick, especially when they come up with questions designed to make fun of other people? there must be something not so attractive about you in order for you to point out the physical flaws of others. sign me - not fat, but tired of the focus on physical qualities.

no, I feel sorry or pity for obese people. We don't know what is going on in their lives and it's not our place to say they make you sick to look at them. You can always look somewhere else. We really need to be more understanding of what other people feel and what they are going through.

Sometimes, but then I try to put myself in their shoes and see it from their point of view. It isn't easy, but there's something wrong with everyone and I try not to judge lest...well, you know. Have you seen Supersize Me? It says alot about how this happens. And is generally interesting for anyone who eats fast food.

Its not all their fault.
They love to eat and drink.
Its the personality anyway if they are liked or disliked.
If you were overweight,HOW would you feel?
I'm sure you would have reasons too.
Its in my genes. Its hereditary etc.
