who thinks it is a good idea to have Mex.-Americans guarding the Texas/Mexico border?
I don't, it defeats the purpose, and they can't make arrests
If they catch drug smugglers or illegals trying to pass through what type of action will they take?

its a good idea to have mexican-americans serving in the national guard while they patrol the border with mexico. its just another job out there. why do people make a big issue out of this? im mexican american to the REAL AMERICAN im just a dirty little mexican girl looking for trouble but thats not the case. people have to understand that those mexican americans patorolling the border are doing it to SUPPORT their FAMILIES! i don't care what people say about US MEXICANS, we are humans to just like you and your next door neighbor and family memembers please understand that ans that there is only one race of humans and thats the HUMAN RACE!!!

You're a stupid racist çunt. You think all Mexicans are more loyal to someone of their race above all else? If that kind of logic made any sense, then white police officers would never arrest white criminals.

First of all, there are a lot of Mexican-Americans already patrolling the border. They are put under an oath that they have to catch illegals, same as any white, black or Asian border patrolman, you stupid ****.

Not all Mexican-Americans are pro-illegal. Many of their families came here legally long ago, and they look down on those who do not choose to enter legally. They speak as fervently against illegal immigration as any white person would do.

So let me get this straight so white people can only watch those "other" people. Each nationality should have it's own set of cops and soldiers should follow that same type of thinking. What planet would this be? The USA used to be a melting pot and moving toward being civilized. I think there are many good law abiding citizens but there sure are a lot of racists living here.

There is no such thing as a Mexican American! You're one or the other...see how bad this invasion has confused people and can you see why Americans are on the offensive? Spanish speaking Americans on the border is an excellent idea and I'm sure there are plenty!

Let's try again; on what basis would you keep them out? For one thing, they can interpret for the officers who do not speak Spanish, and that's a very useful thing. For another, I see no reason why they cannot make arrests. Are you suggesting that they would be unjust, and would apply the law unfairly? I can't think why you would think that, when there are law officers of all races all over this country. You cannot limit a person's right to apply for the job they want on the basis of race. Period.

If they are american citizens they are just as worthy as the next. We had Japanese-Americans fighting with us in WWII and Vietnamese on our side in Vietnam. You can find rotten apples in any army of any nationality, even American. By the way, are you aware of what a person goes thru to become an American Citizen? It takes years of processing and waiting and paper pushing. Then at the end of it all they have to take a test AND pass it to become a citizen. Look around on line and see if you can find a sample of that test. Then see if you can pass it. They did. m

If they are in the National Guard they have taken an oath of loyalty to the United States. period, end of story. Any deviation from that plan is treason and punishable.

What are you stupid? Don't you think that there are mex-am people who don't want illegals either? Thsoe National Guard folks swore an oath. If they don't live up to it-- they get thrown out.

Mexicans belong in Mexico.

There's no such thing as a "Mexican/American". They're just Mexicans. And they all need to be deported.
