i would like to have a relationship with someone my own age but im not attracted to them. i'm 55 and the last person i dated was 29.help me please.

ur probably having trouble accepting your age. you may like the fact that your more mature and want to in charge of the relationship as far as age goes. i like older women and i believe it is because i like the fact that the ones i go far know what they want and are take charge. i have been around my mother and her friends all my life and every since then i have always had a thing for older women. i want date anyone my age and i am 34. i like women with authority. also you are in your prime. you would kill somebody your age who is a male. they couldn't handle it/keep up with you anywayz. so go ahead and do that thing girl. bless you and take care and keep those yung ones in place

may be u didn't live Ur youth the way u wanted ! so now u try to catch what u miss in the past ,, or may be u didn't do exactly everything u wanted to do ,,so u fall for younger guys CZ with them u feel u still in the beginning of the road & u can do whatever u need ,,
by looking to younger guys u feel that time didn't pass thats why u r attracted to them ,,, u don't realy attracted to them but u r attracted to feeling that u feels when u r with them ..
anyway ,, if that make u happy & if ur young partner is okay too with the fact that u r older than him ,,then go for it ,,
u can't control what u feel & its wrong to make urself sad and prevent urself from the things u want just becouse the others don't aprove .. age is just years & days nothing more ..
do what ur heart desire ,,, its ur life ,, live it the way u like

I am 53 and married to a man who is 35; we have been together for 7 years and married for 5. His age had absolutely nothing to do with my attraction for him; in fact it sort of worried me and still sometimes does. But I do know that I like the fact that there is less chance of my being widowed than there would be if I married someone my age or older.
Also, some older guys get kind of stodgy and set in their ways; a younger man can inspire a woman to expand herself, to try new things (like driving a motorcycle)....
The only problem I see is that sometimes younger men like my husband act very immature and then it makes me feel old, which I don't like at all!

It sounds like you are desperatly clinging on to your youth! You dont want to admit you are old and washed up.Men your age are much to successfu to date a tired old hag, so they look for younger woman! In order to avoid the inevitable rejection from men your own age, you try to pull the "strong older woman just like DEMI" thing and also it makes you feel young and desirable. You will never be happy with younger men, because you have to remember they are just using you to see what its like to bang an older woman. The only solution here is to get 10 cats and deal with your fate! Lonely and bitter!

Perhaps you don't look or act 55. Is Dating younger men a problem for you? If not,go for it babe. I'm 52 and my wife is 57.She acts and looks 30 and I love it. Take care.

You like the virility and youthfulness. It keeps your engine running hot and well oiled. Perhaps you don't want a relationship. Perhaps you only want action and excitement. Older men can provide this, but you hunger for the younger.

well Im 32 and I am definately attracted to that.
I love a lady that knows what she likes usually you can find that in the 20's and teens
its even shaky in the 30's let me tell you.
Something about a real lady that drive me nuts!

you sound like my aunt!! Maybe it is a mid life crisis. She dates the younger men because she is in denial that she is getting older and wants to keep any piece of her youth she can.
