It depends on what you mean by "Shrimp Sauce." Unfortunately, far too many people mean Cocktail sauce when they say Shrimp Sauce.

For Cocktail sauce:

2 cups ketchup (or one cup each ketchup/chile sauce)
1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tablespoon Horseradish (or more to taste)
1tsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Granulated Garlic
salt and pepper to taste

For spicier add 1/2 tsp Cayenne

If you mean a real Shrimp Sauce:
Shrimp Shells (4 Cups loosely packed)
1/2 cup each coarse chopped onion, celery,
carrot
6-8 cloves of garlic peeled and smashed
2 bay leaves
1 Cup Dry Sherry
4 Cups liquid (Shrimp stock, chicken stock, water)
1T Tomato Paste
Salt & Pepper to taste

Saute shrimp shells over medium heat in butter with onion, celery and carrot. When the onion starts to brown lightly add garlic. When the garlic starts to brown add Sherry, deglaze the pan and add the liquid, bay leaves and tomato paste. Simmer until reduced by 1/2. Strain and add back to sauce pan reducing by 1/2 again. Adjust seasoning if necessary (salt and pepper).
If using immediately add 1 T butter and remove from heat. Stir in butter. The 1 cup of sauce should thicken from the liaison with the butter.

This is really simple and easy. Get a bottle of white wine and two sticks of butter. Bring to a simmer then drop your shrimp in. Cook the shrimp in the liquid till they are pink and opaque. The left over liquid is AMAZING when you dip french bread into it. It's also good to add a little bit of it (to taste) into an alfredo sauce for a shrimp linguine.
