Why do or say something that intentionally hurts another human being? Just because you are online and faceless, doesn't make the pain any less. It doesn't make it any less cruel. So, why?

If religion were the answer, then why were the church ladies gossiping about me behind my back? And saying to just ignore it just lets it be ok. It's not ok.

Ok here's the deal. My car is messed up and I have an interview tomorrow afternoon. I need to get my hair cut in the morning. Thing is, I live around 40th and Troost... and the only hair places I *know of* around either here either cater to black hair and do braids and stuff.... or they're those high siddity "salons" that charge $30-$40 for a very simple haircut that only takes a half hour.
I just need a sleek, short, professional looking haircut. Normally I would go to Great Clips and pay $10. But that's a suburban thing, and the closest one is 7 miles away. I don't have that luxury right now. I gotta get somewhere on the bus.
Anywhere between 24th and 63rd... and Troost and Rainbow Blvd. would be fine with me. I need answers ASAP. So if you give a good answer and it's too late... sorry but it's not doin me any good!!
Thanks. ~Holly

Why do we hurt? To know that we are alive. At the fundamentally most basic level pain (Physical emotional or spiritual its all the same) is an experience that tells us we are still alive and in the day to day struggle to stay alive.
Pain and hurt is necessary to learning it is primal and instinctive.
Once burned twice shy.
People hurt each other every day, sometimes there is a good reason for pain. There is a rock in my shoe if I cant feel it and continue to walk on it it will get buried into the flesh of my foot and cause greater harm.If we insulate ourselves from hurt and pain we will never achieve a greater understanding of our selves and the means to change and improve the world around us.
Ask your self why YOU feel hurt?
How you react to pain is instinctive and primal as well many people lash out with anger when in pain and can easily spread more pain without intent.

We'll this isn't always the reason, but I find that sometime people hurts other people because they are scared or insecure. When we are online, it is easier to be cruel because you can do it behind their backs and you don't have to face them and witness the pain. Just remember, anyone who does something like that isn't worth your time. That's another great thing about being online. You can log off :)

Different reasons depending upon the person: pettiness, insecurity, selfishness. Some people have a weak sense of inner purpose and feel threatened by ideas that don't confirm their own view of the world.
People who feel they've been shoved (literally or figuratively) usually feel obliged to shove back. It's juvenile, but it's also human nature. Adults (well, some adults) learn to control that impulse, but it's a hard one to suppress.

That is the exact question I would expect from a retard like you. Maybe you need to toughing up and stop being so stupid. People say things online that are mean in hopes of making the really annoying people to stop screwing around online and ruining it for everyone else by being a dips hit.

Some people can get satisfaction from almost anything. People online are assholes to begin with (especially on message boards.) They think that because you will probably never see them, they can just step all over you and treat you badly. Everyone thinks they are superior to someone else and if they weren't so self-centered, they'd realize that no one person is better than another.

We all have good and evil, but I guarantee it would hurt less on line than to my face for some of those cruel fools - it's like driving on the highway and being rude, cowardice.

you should not take what people say to you to heart. People are mean and say mean things, mostly cause they are filled with insecurity and really don't like themselves. Don't let them get the best of you. Probably also cause they are stupid and don't have a life or an education.

Well, some ppl have deeper issues that we have NO idea about and express their feelings by being negative.
I suggest next time you have to deal with a mean person is to do ur best to ignore them.
