For some reason, most men have committment issues, so a guy might very well like you a lot but when he realizes that the feeling is mutual he begins to worry that you want an exclusive relationship.... You know the old adage "the grass is always greener"? - well I'm sure that was inspired by men's reactions to women and relationships. They might really care for you but they are also wondering if there is something else around the corner that might be better. They are frequently dumb that way.

Maybe make a smaller move back to them or make a different move. If you always do what you've always done, you always get what you always got. Also, if your response is this needy I've been waiting for you blah blah let's be best friends blah blah, it's too much too fast.

I had this problem. I just flirted with everyone, even if I had no interest in her what-so-ever. However I would flirt differently with females whom I actually had an interest in.
