Huh?
Heaven, as described in the Bible, is not (contrary to popular belief) a place where you can do whatever you want. A lot of people have taught that if you go to Heaven, then you can go fishing and eat ice cream and be reuniuted with Fluffy, the pet dog you used to have as a child until the day Daddy had accidentally backed over him in the driveway. None of that is in the Bible. Heaven is described (mainly in the Book of Revelation) as a place where believers will be in God's presence, worshipping Him. It is a place of worship. Another popular (and unbiblical) belief is the idea that a person can get to Heaven by doing good deeds or going to church or being nice, etc., etc. The Christian teachings state that it is only by placing true faith in Jesus. The Catholic church and cults (with a Christian appearance to them) teach that you have to do good deeds or good deeds plus faith. Jesus spoke a lot about living a good life and doing good deeds, but He did not teach that by doing good deed(s) you could go to Heaven. People who do not really know God could care less about Heaven and church. The Bible shows that God is the one who initiates a relationship with people by drawing them to Himself (because people would never normally come to Him on their own). True Christians are people who experience God's presence on this earth and see TRUE answers to prayer. Sadly, there are many counterfeits out there and fake people and just plain weird people who say they are Christians. But that is also the way it was in ancient times. The New Testament constantly has warnings about how there would be more and more false teachers (cults) who would mix Christian scripture with their own teachings. If you have questiosn about the Bible get a good study Bible. You don't have to be a Christian to read a Bible. There are college classes that teach the Bible as a work of literature and so there are Christian and nonChristian students who read it for class and carry a Bible around in their bookbag. A good study Bible would be The Quest Study Bible. It contains an English translation of the Bible and off to the margins on each page are tons of questions that nonChristians, skeptics, Christians, and anybody else often ask about certian passages, or what the times were like, or anything Bible related; answers then follow. You can read it just for the questions and answers. (I have enclosed a couple links from amazon.com for you that shows the exact study Bible I am talking about...with even a peak inside at the pages).
I am sure that was a way longer answer than you would have wanted. : )

Heaven can't really be described as a physical place, or as anything we know down here in Earth.
It's more like an ultimate state of eternal peace, in which you're free from all desire, all needs, all worries, all sadness and anger, and in which you're really in the presence of the Lord your God. There's no time in Heaven, because it has come to an end.
No one has been in Heaven, but those who came from there.
DON'T PACK ANYTHING. You don't need anything at all in Heaven. And the doorways to Heaven are very narrow, so you wouldn't be able to bring Anything with you anyways.
It's neither hot nor cold. In fact, you wouldn't know anyways, because you no longer have skin. Or a physical body, to begin with.
The people in there are nice. All those who haven't repented from their sins are outside, carrying their sins with them, in a not-quite-happy place.
Government housing? What do you mean? In heaven, there are no kings or lords or governors, but the Lord your God.
There's no gas in Heaven. There are no cars, either. You don't need them.
There are no shopping malls. No needs, no commerce, no money. Hence, no Sams Club, no K-Mart, no It's Fashion!...
Wal-Mart? Please, everybody knows Wal-Mart is an invention of Satan. OF COURSE THERE'S NO WAL-MART IN HEAVEN!!!
Food? Nope, there's no food. There's no hunger, either. Hence, no fast-food joints, no obesity, and NO FREAKING BURGER KING.
Internet? You don't need internet, or computers, in Heaven. In fact, you don't need information, or math, or a brain. You don't have doubts, questions or the like. And why do you need Yahoo! Answers at all? God is the Ultimate Answer!
Yes, you're asking too much. In Heaven, you will never, ever, need to ask (or answer) anything at all. Yay!

Hello Bad_Influence.. :)
I myself have not Had the pleasure of seeing Heaven..but my daughter Sherry when she was only 10 years old had a vision of Heaven.. :)
I awoke in the middle of the night, to see my daughters room full of a bright light..as I went into her room you could not tell where the light was coming from..but her room was full of warmth and Love.. :)
Sherry was praying and when she heard me enter the room she looked at me, her sweet little face was glowing, with tears in her eyes..she said that Jesus would not let her stay in Heaven.. :(
I asked her what happened..as she started to tell me the light faded away..but the warmth and Love continued to stay with us in her room.. :)
She told me that she had been praying because she wanted to see Heaven and that is when an angel came to her..she said she went up into the air but she could still see herself still praying.. :)
She saw big white stones that were the gates (gates of pearls)..also the whole building (Mansion) had pretty looking glass of all different color (emeralds, rubies, diamonds, etc.)..
Then the gates opened up and she could not go inside, but she said that the path was gold (but not the same color gold like here) and that there was water ontop of it..because she could see through it..(the streets are paved of gold which is clear as glass)..She said she saw animals and people dressed in white long shirts..She then saw a Bright Light coming from the center of the building..she said to the angel..that is Jesus..that is when she was told she had to come back..she told me that she wanted to stay..because she was not afraid there and all she felt was total Love.. :)
==============================================
This is what heaven is like..no more tears, no more suffering and no more fear..The warmth of the Love is all the heat you will ever need or want.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

You cannot become a born again Christian. The born again process happened at the cross and you had no say in the matter.
The world was reborn. You are perfect and righteous whether you choose to believe or not.
