1 john 2;18-19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrist; whereby we know that it is the last time .
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they manifest that they were not all of us.

possibly. the pope would be a perfect position of power for the antichrist, seeing as how he can influence almost all of the world leaders. i doubt that it is our current pope though.
ever think of it maybe being the UN secretary general?

Yup, I really do. And Rome or Lateanous is the only word that adds up to 666, and it does so in two numerical systems.

I see the guy below is misquoting what Christ said to Peter. In the origional Greek Peter's name meant little stone and Christ was talking about a rock, now a little stone is not a rock. The rock Christ spoke of was the one Peter had just meantioned, which was Christ being the Mesiah. And btw, when we make appearent that one little bit then we take away the papacy's *entire* 'authority'.

No, the Pope is **NOT** the antichrist!!!

How can the Pope be the antichrist, when it is the very Message Of Christ Whom the Pope spreads & preaches?

The Pope is the Vicar Of Christ. Christ Is His Master.

The Pope is the Successor of St. Peter, whom Christ Said: "Thou art Peter, & Upon this Rock, I Will Build My Church."

It seems that many do not believe God is quick to follow through with his Judgements, however he is and the anti-christ has already been and gone.
That we are all the left behind is too hard to believe? Why did it take 300 years after the passing of our lord for a church to be established as an authority, or why did the Jewish populace wonder away from their Holy Land after his passing if something didn't happened that was not recorded because of shock or fear? Carrying belief thru tradition is one of the evils Jesus spoke against, so to those who want to imagine that Religion cannot change and stay faithful to God, deny that God still leads those who choose to follow his Son with the strength of the Holy Spirit. Do you align yourself with those who deny thusly? Your following the anti-christ.

That's an oxymoron. The antichrist will claim to be pope, but he will be the greatest heretic that ever was and therefore could never be the pope. He will, however, pretend to be the pope but tell everyone to worship him rather than God.

The Pope is not the Antichrist. He is, instead, the spiritual director of the largest denomination in all of Christianity.

the pope is not the anti-Christ,their is no such anti-Christ dosent anyone read history anymore, the things happening today have been happening since time began, empires before these of today were monstrous in what they did to people, and this pope is a kitten compared to past popes.take the pope who drained blood from 12 yrs to make his life last longer, read your history books, and if your interested read about popes of old then ask about the anti-Christ,heck read about ancient rulers Hitler was soft compared to some of the empires of Rome and ancient kingdoms
