In-home electronic monitoring means ankle monitoring. If it doesn't use the word electronic then it is possible it means house arrest and your parole officer has the right to drop in at any moment to check up on you.

this means House Arrest... the put a little black device on your ankle and it detects where you are... if you pass the imaginary line that they told you not to pass the black device will send a message to the Correction Department and they will call or go to your house... you will also have a parol officer and in some cases they even let you have a job but you have to be home by a certain time.

welcome to house arrest you get this thing that hooks up to you land line (phone) and this ankle monitor that you wear and you can only go o predisclosed places like work or church but you hae to have signatures and times of every time you leave or arrive the monitors keep up with your location it knows were you are even if you in your house or in your yard its not cheap mine was 375.00 a month and they compare you sign in/out sheet with thier monitor reports and you better hope its correctand there usually drug testing involved

It means that if you have money there is a way out of jail. They play god on who gets it so you need a good shyster lawyer and a judge on the take. (no shortage of either) Then after you are bled almost dry to get on the program, you have to pay every month to stay on it.
