The IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy) used a variety of aircraft during the attack on Pearl Harbor. To include:

Mitsubishi A6M Reisen (Zeke, or Zero) carrier based fighter/intercepter

Nakjima B5N Type 97 (Kate) and Mitsubishi B5M Type 97 (Mabel) torpedo bombers

Aichi Type 99 (Val) dive bomber

The names in parenthases are the allied designation. In the case of the A6M, and various other fighter aircraft, allied intelligence dubbed them one thing, but they were collectively known as zeros to those individuals that flew against them, because of the distinctive 'Red Dot' insignia on the wings and fuselage, not because of the quality of their pilots (in the early years.

I think they were called "Bettys" by our troops. The torpedo planes were called "Kates". And yes Pearl Harbor was attacked by more than Zeros which were fighters. They mainly strafed our airfields.
