Seems everytime you post a political question on Yahoo's "ask a question" you get an answer from someone who sounds like a military recruiter, ESPECIALLY if you say something negative about Bush and his supporters creating policies that are double standards and hold the arrogant assumption that somehow U.S. civilians are better than Iraqi or Lebanese civilians who somehow deserve to die in this great "war" against terrorism. In fact, it seems as soon as you mention the word "civilian" the military are all over Yahoo with word searches or something in this desperate attempt to find out what the public is thinking. Is the U.S. military running Yahoo question and answers? (Please don't come and kill me as a suspected terrorist for having found out if this is indeed true.)

Go here and read some of these very carefully constructed pro-war replies. They sound like recruiters to me!

To the former Air Forcer below who said:

"call it blind loyalty if you want"

Yeah that about sums it up. And that's why the military would use Yahoo in unconstitutional ways to access information about "members" and their posts under the guise of a question/answer board.

Semper Fi!

On second thought, that guy is lying. HE IS A RECRUITER (just read his post).

Oh--more evidence that Yahoo is indeed being run by the military. This Air Force recruiter said:

"all that other stuff college kids do who are in school on daddy's money"

Whoa! REMEMBER KENT STATE!

Look, before you tell me how much I'm being quick to "abuse" the military, I just asked a simple question based on the kinds of responses I am getting to political questions. Go to the link above and see for yourself. These responses that are very carefully worded in a pro-war manner suggest that they have come from people trained to be military recruiters. So... I just thought maybe someone else out there knows that it is indeed true that Yahoo's message boards and the Q and A board are being run by the military.

no, you are mostly probably just running into free agent people
who are dumb enough to think that the government is actually working for them or the lie for instance that there is even such a thing as "liberal media" when in fact its the repugs that own all the major media.

At least i don't think that the military or etc is runningthe place
as some stuff i post stays up which if so would get deleted....
believe me i have experience with that on other sites.

For instance, if you point out that its a big lie that there even is a liberal media, they might censor that on some sites. Or of you point out that the elections were rigged, or if you poke too big a hole in any of the repugnicon fascist propaganda trips...that
stuff would just get censored if yahoo was being run like you
are talking about.

So yes, there are ignorant and mind numbingly self delusional people around, but that doesn't mean any conspiracy is involved,
just that the world is full of gullible and ignorant people.

I'm not a recruiter, but I'm a former Air Force member who served through Lebanon, Panama, and Desert Storm. My fellow military members, men and women, though I can't speak for all of them, take offense to people bashing the government they've sworn to protect. In fact, it is against the Uniform Code of Military Justice to bash the President - call it blind loyalty if you want, I call it believing it what we risk our lives for, instead of skirting our responsibilities, protesting against things, burning the flag, and all that other stuff college kids do who are in school on daddy's money and feel they need to stand up for something.

Most civilians only get the information that's fed to them through the news, which is controlled with an iron fist by liberal folks, and the truth is far from common. Did you know that Saddam Hussein had, in his possession, nuclear weapons grade plutonium since 1979, and the missiles to carry it since 1984? It's easier to bash the President and jump on that bandwagon than it is to understand ALL the facts, not just the ones presented by the liberal media.

My advice? Learn, listen, and don't be in such a hurry to bash the military and government.

U.S. civilians are better than Iraqi or Lebanese civilians!

The near east / middle east peoples have been killing each other for more than 5000 years, nothing new here, why do you act so surprised?
Read the history of that region of the world!!

No, what you are probably witnessing is the fact that a lot of Americans are proud of having served in the military, or support the military, or are just generally pro-American.

It probably is being monitored. Yahoo answers has recently been VERY heavily (suspicioiusly) advertised all of a sudden without any apparent reason even thought it has existed for a while.

I'd say probably not...there are many military bases in the US...so there are MANY military people who defend our country and are willing to stand up for it, even online who also use Yahoo Answers. They are just speaking their opinion.

I'm sorry son but this board will have to be terminated. Your attempt at staging an uprising on yahoo.questions has been noted and the proper authorities have been notified. Please fill out in triplicate, forms 4.08sA and K511 for further processing of your transgressions.
Thank you for your attention in this matter,
