How does random selection bring order to our society? It contrasts our way of living racoon mate with racoon, monkey with monkey the males compete with each other to show strength in their genes, why don't we see a monkey mate naturally with a orangutang sp?

You are correct if evolution was random it would contradict many things in the world of survival. However evolution is not random. It is very systematic that help a species survive in the now while wiping out undesired traits. Does that sound random?

Many reasons. For one, they don't live together, so they don't really have much of an opportunity to mate. Another reason is... well actually it *does* happen, but animals have evolved to be attracted mainly to their own species. Think about it, two different species can sometimes produce offspring, but due to the genetic differences, those offspring wind up being sterile. So if there was a male chimp, let's say, who due to some genetic mutation was attracted to female orangutans, he would mate with them, maybe produce offspring (not sure if that's possible or not, but not important for these purposes) But then those offspring would not produce any of their own, his line would die out, and the genetic mutation that made him attracted to orangutans dies out with it.

What makes you think selection is random? What makes you think that there is order in our society? Natural selection does not always choose the animal with the greatest strength, speed or intelligence; it selects animals to fit the ecological niche which they inhabit.

It's actually called "natural selection". God created every creature after it own "kind". Dogs do not turn into chickens, monkeys do not turn into humans, etc. Below is a link to a page that explains Darwin's concept of natural selection.

The term is natural selection, not random. The reason you don't see more crossbreeding in the wild is because the animals are in competition for resources or are territorial. Never the less, crossbreeding in the wild does occur; for example, grizzly bears and polar bears are known to crossbreed.

Random selection does not imply that different species mate.

There is no random selection. Also, if you have an evolution question, you should post it in the biology category.

i honestly believe you might want to research the definition of random selection. it's not a societal issue and does not concern bringing order to our society.

Your question makes no sense whatsoever.
Could you get someone with an education above (that means more than) the 3d grade to proofread for you?
Thanks.

You really should have been paying more attention in biology class instead of thinking you know it all already.
