Yes. You should always have a mind of your own. Do not be a sheep in a flock believing everything the church tells you. The bible has been rewritten so much, how much is really true to begin with.

Why should I hear a sermon with holes in it?
If the pastor is preaching something that I think is contrary to the Bible that's where we part company.

Why should I pay tithes to a ministry that is off the Word?

If you can prove that you are right and the pastor is wrong, you can do one of three things,

1. Go to the pastor and show the Scripture that proves his words wrong. If he refuses to change his stance, get out of there.

2. Just leave and find a church that agrees with how you see the Scriptures.

3. Stay home and serve God with the direct Word straight from the Source, that is, the Holy Bible.

Yes. Remember that a church is run by men. Let the Holy Spirit guide your interpretations and such. Some things you might disagree with, but there are only a few "big things" that are important. As long as you agree with things like who God and Jesus are, what the Bible is, how one becomes a Christian, etc. then the rest is just stuff. In the end it doesn't matter anyway.

Very few people actually agree with or believe every little thing that their church or religion does. Only Christians claim openly that they fully believe in every aspect of their faith. When in fact, I've known several that had their doubts or disagreements, but would be offended if you believed something slightly different than religious doctrine. Very hypocritical and confusing. How is anyone supposed to be brought into that religion with such hypocrisy? So, in short, if you don't agree with everything your church teaches, you would be one of the majority.

Well, this depends on how big the differences of opinion are. Minor ones can be overcome, but if its big differences then you might be better off finding a church that is a better fit for you spiritually. Church is not a necesity to salvation, but we are told to gather together with other believers. Being a Christian can often be a difficult road, made even harder if one travels it alone. Perhaps you could go to one of the elders of this church and explain your concerns. That way you'd at least understand why they believe what they do.

I don't know why you would attend church if you didn't believe everything they teach, because you would be utterly bored during the parts that you aren't in agreement with. I would say keep searching for a church that you are in total agreement with or as close as possible.

Yes, because I don't think I've ever met a Christian who believed everything their church teached. I wouldn't want a church that strongly pushed their beliefs because I like to figure out what I believe for myself rather then have someone tell me what to believe.

you really ought to no longer deceive your youngster. once you're fearful about your marriage tell him to ask his mom. ultimately he might want to ask pretty on your opinion and also you'll't deceive him. If it changed into me i'd do each and every thing i might want to to avert his options being poisoned by using religion. numerous questions of religion won't be able to be responded besides because it would not make experience. faith will rely upon preserving human beings ignorant and pleased with round common sense so that they don't ask confusing questions or imagine too a lot. forums like those show that flaw. the purely solutions you receives from Christians right here will cite the bible as their source. If requested, "why ought to we take what's says interior the bible with no interest?" they're going to say that the bible says it truly is inerrant so it must be. round common sense, won't be able to argue with it. Christians communicate about it truly is why it must be actual. Atheists can purely roll their eyes. keep in mind, finally a sturdy man or woman will do sturdy issues, a foul man or woman will do undesirable issues, however it takes faith to make a sturdy man or woman do undesirable issues.

Of course it is. Religion and spirituality are subjective experiences, and it is impossible to agree with everything that one religion, or even a single sect of a large religion, teaches. Take out of it what you can, and remember it is okay to question things you don't agree with. It keeps you human.

Yes. Sometimes religion isn't a "perfect fit," but if it still helps you find a relationship with God, then stay with it. Your goal is to strive to be as God wants you to be and find Truth in your quest, not just comply blindly as if you were stamped with a cookie cutter. Plus, when an authority, even religion, stops being questioned and is obeyed blindly, it becomes possible for it to become corrupted.
