You'll want to direct that question to a vet.
And it isn't alcohol poisoning, unless the potatoes were fermenting. ; )

Since many hypo allergic dog foods are made with potatoes, I don't think that it is the potato, but it could be the potato skin. I know that eating potato skins that are green can make people sick.
Also a consideration.... did she get into trash? Does she have a fever? Normal for a dog is 101-102 degrees. If either, I would see a vet today. She could have food poisoning.
Was she around any other dogs while you were away? If so, it is possible that she has caught something and needs to see a vet today.
Most probably it is the quantity of odd things that she has been eating that has gotten to her. I would try withholding all food for 24 hours. Give her stomach a chance to calm down. Give nothing but Pedilyte. Make sure she drinks, if not force fluids.
Then tomorrow, I would offer her plain cooked white rice. If she keeps it down, slowly offer rice mixed with her regular food. Not too much. Just a little at a time.
If tomorrow she still can't keep anything down a vet visit is in order.

Potatoes won't kill your dog. Don't let everyone here freak you out. Your dog ate too much. You have a couple of options, you can go to the vet, they will run Every test under the sun and charge you out the a%$ and in the end send you home with some kaopectate. That you will again pay way to much for. Some tips.... kaopectate is Pepto Bismal. We put a pretty name on it and colored it pink so humans would eat it. Go to the drug store buy some and give it to you dog. Not very much though only about 1 cc per pound of dog, I like to use an infant oral syringe. (a couple of bucks at the drug store you'll pay at least double at a vet or pet store and they are exactly the same). Make sure there is water available but don't force it down, and take it away at night. Water can actually induce vomiting in dogs. Your dog won't dehydrate unless you don't give it water for weeks. And last but not least STOP FEEDING IT PEOPLE FOOD!!! You don't eat dog food so why would you expect your dog to eat people food? I would also recommend a good diet such as raw or innova but that is a whole other debate. Goodluck. Hope she is feeling better soon

Best thing to do is to take her to the vet when you get the chance. My dog had this problem a while back and they will do blood tests, things like that to find something wrong with your dog. They may or may not find something (in my case they didn't) so they sent us home with worm medicine and gave him shots to neutralize the acid in his stomach so he'd stop throwing up.
Until you can get the dog to the vet, don't feed her anything which might upset her stomach. Make sure she has lots of water since throwing up will dehydrate her and if you must feed her, give something light on the stomach like rice or broth.
Sometimes just doing the above is enough and your dog may get better on her own. Dogs throw up for a number of different reasons- they may or may not be serious. It's your own judgement though and if you think your dog is really suffering, bring her to a vet.
Just to warn you, they charged us like crazy for all that but when you raelly care about your pet, you do what you can. Hope your dog gets better

Potato poisonings among people and dogs have occurred. Solanum alkaloids can be found in green sprouts and green potato skins, which occurs when the tubers are exposed to sunlight during growth or after harvest. The relatively rare occurrence of actual poisoning is due to several factors: solanine is poorly absorbed; it is mostly hydrolyzed into less toxic solanidinel; and the metabolites are quickly eliminated.
Note that cooked, mashed potatoes are fine for dogs, actually quite nutritious and digestible.
Your dog needs to see a vet to be treated, whatever the cause of the digestive upset.

You should not be asking this type of question on this forum. Unless someone is a license veterinarian, no one can give you a correct answer. Even a vet would tell you you have to take the dog in to be tested.
Please...you must do that right away...before you loose your pet. It could be food poisoning, digestion problem, virus or any number of things.
If you love him...and appreciate the love it has given you, get help for him/her ASAP.

The best thing to do is ask a vet. I think that is the dog was not used to eating human food and suddently her diet changed, that might have given her some kind of food poisoning or something similar but i don't know. My dog also started throwing up for about a week when we changed his diet but it was mainly lquid.

TAKE HER TO A VET and in the mean time, NO MORE PEOPLE FOOD.
Also, she should have lots of water and rest. It would not be a bad idea to keep her away from other dogs, too, in case she may have a virus that is contagious.
Best wishes and hope she gets well soon.

Sounds like you need to call the vet. Has she been going to the bathroom? If she is constipated or blocked it could be that everything is coming out the front instead of the back. Call the vet.

Take it to the vet ASAP it is probably Pancreatitus. Very serious and can be fatal. I lost my dog to it. NEVER feed a small dog people food, they cannot digest it properly. If your parents cannot take care of it right find somewhere else for it.
