Faith is the path of least resistance

Do you agree
We are sheep, we follow what were told without thinking for ourselves.

What are some of your opinions?

That ain't me!
I'm a goat, straight up the side of the mountain.
Forget the path! That's the long way!
Faith is taking what the Universe throws at ya, and knowing in your heart that there is a purpose for everything that happens in life.

Your two statements go against each other. If your told to do something there is an implied outcome, there is no faith involved. If on the other hand you do something that no one has told you to do, all you have is faith that it will work. And your supposition that we are sheep is also wrong, from the time a child is old enough to think for themselves they are testing their faith. That we eventually learn that there are right ways and wrong ways to do things depends on how willing we are to accept other peoples authority over us. Having known only those who could not accept such would lead one to think as you do, so your a product of the school of hardknocks. Even as we share opinions you have risen above that school,so keep testing your faith.

Actually, I am a devoutly biblically Christian, which is a severe rebellion from my denominational upbringing. I have and share a faith that requires no "blind" faith. A common misconception is that "faith" is seeing without believing. Scripturally, faith is following what you have logical reason to believe is true. The notion of blind faith is one created from a very anti-intellectual notion created in the United States in the early 1800's. Using pure scientific method, the existence of an ultimate diety is not only reasonable, but required for human existence. The only "faith" required in Christianity is the area of the Trinity, which isn't so far fetched once enough research (some scientific, some abstract) is done to form an accurate picture of the above mentioned diety.

Faith is not the path of least resistance; in fact its the path less traveled. Faith requires going against the limited logic mankind possess. Faith equates to difficult challenges in the most undesirable situations. Sheep follow with what they know; men with faith follow with that they can't see or touch, but by faith believe.

I agree & disagree with this. Because to not follow a religion is to follow what has already been done by many & to follow is to do the same. Therefore all can be categorized as sheep. Though, how do you explain those that don't discuss their belief & push it upon others? Those with opinions you may never have heard before? Impossible to remain sheep with evolution.

Faith is definitely not the path of least resistance. It is very hard to remain faithful in this world, or had you not noticed? Nothing as ultimately rewarding as having faith is easy. What an assinine statement you made- did you think that up all by yourself?

EACH choice IS A MATTER OF will ...YOURS OR SOMEONE ELSES....BUT 'WE' TEND to take the course of 'best' judgement/considered opinions/etc. for our selves....and with the least amount of work by useing the latest technics/products/services/etc. but ALL follow someone including the ownner of the 'store' ....( the customer )...so no one is really thier own 'boss' it's' just that htere is more feeling of freedom in administration and on a 'time' scale to 'do what 'you' want' while others must wait for the 'clock' to ''ring'' so-to-speak.....all are 'sheep'....some come in different 'coverings' is all....

For many "thinking for themselves" involves rejecting what we are told and coming up with other theories. Kind of reminds you of Adam and Eve then eating from the tree they were told to stay away from.
