A Millers thumb is a naughty thumb. Since being chopped off at the mill 33 years ago he has gone on to create havoc to other thumbs around the milling world.

Could you be referring to the term derived from milling (as in - milling grain into flour) if so the millers thumb is a discolouration / twist of the thumb, which we would probably now call "RSD" repetative strain disorder.


Then again you could be talking about something else.
