I really like her a lot. I have saved for 2 years for a car. I have about $1900.00. What do you think I should do?

NOOOOOOOO Don't do it. She's using you. You need to date longer, and she needs to get a JOB.

I guarentee it wont work.

DON'T PAY!!!
~She's 18, so her parents are probably around and are the ones who should pay
~If she cares about u, she'll understand that uve been saving for ur car for a while. two years is a long time--do u want to just throw that all away for teeth?
~Fixing teeth is quite expensive... the money u have now might not be enough-- might as well just continue saving for ur car instead of giving the money away for nothing and having to start from scratch
~If u plan to spend the rest of ur life together, the car is gonna be more important down the road. ill bet that a year from now she'd be calling u a no-good cus u dont have a car... (I know it sounds harsh, but girls tend to forget what u do for them after a while... and they tend to like it when their guys have the basics... like a car or a job)

hope my logic makes sense to u... and remember, DON'T PAY!!!
(it might be hard for u to decide, but take my--and everyone else's--advice for it... a situation is usually clearer to someone not involved, so our opinions will most likely based on a clearer view of the situation)

Good luck relating the news to ur girl!!

Well, first find out if her parents have insurance. If she is going to school and lives at home it should be covered if it is not simply cosmetic.

Next, the age doesn't matter if you are committed partners. I have a friend who is still happily married to his high school sweetheart. Talk to her and figure out if it will make more sense to have a car for your future or her teeth.

Finally, remember her teeth go with her, the car goes with you. She is only 18 - is she the last woman for the rest of your life? If so, do the teeth, if not do the car.

You could always give her a loan, with intention for her to pay the money back... if you do this, get it in writing, though. You never know when you'll need evidence to give to Judge Judy! :P BUT if you don't want togive her the money, simply explain to her that you like her and hope it doesn't affect your relationship, but the car was very important to you and you would like her to ask her mother for the money instead of you. After all, her mom gave birth to her, not you! why should you have to pay for something she or her parents should be taking care of?.... hope i helped! :P

If she lives at home, I think this is her parents problem. If they wont pay, it is certainly not up to you to flip the bill. If you saved for a car, tell her to get a job and do the same. This isn't your responsibility.

Well seen as she lives at home, that means that you are not finacialy responsible for her.
Her parents might have her on a dental plan, and if not she can get insurance to help her out.
I do not think that you should fork out the money.
Enjoy your new car.

DO NOT PAY FOR AN 18 YEAR OLDS DENTAL WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be a horrible mistake. What if you guys broke up a week later? She would have a shiny new grill and you wouldn't have a pot to piss in. Let her parents pay for stuff like that. Taking her to a movie and buying her a hamburger is enough for teenagers. If you fall for her trickery you might as well kiss your manhood goodbye.

I'm guessing you're both teenagers? If you spend nearly 2,000 dollars on her freeloading busted teeth you are going to regret it. Think about if she dumps you a month after you agree to pay...then all you'll be is short 2,000 bucks and without a car.

She should have her parents pay for it. If she is a college student she should still be covered under her parent's insurance. If she is working, her work should cover for it. If it is a procedure that is not covered by insurance she should pay for it. Be careful that she does not mooch from you. She needs to learn how to be responsible for herself. The best gift you can give her right now is independence.
