I talked to my guy today and he was sooooo sweet and sensitive and was soooo wonderful. And it made me think of the brute I saw a couple days ago!!!!!
I guess it is a rep he's tryin' to keep but why would he be so obnoxious??????

With their friends they have a certain "hard image" to be true to, but they try to put the 'sweetness' on you because girls like it. But alot of relationships have trouble because the guy doesn't know how to be himself around his friends and his girlfriend or he's too scared to show his friends how he feels for his girlfriend.

Maybe cuz guys are stupid... just kidding.. I think because for example if your guy shows you love and treats you nice in front of the friends then the friends start telling him he's a P*ssy whip or that you have him on check so he wants to show off and he acts like a dog (pig same difference). But when you guys are alone he doesn't have the friends around to make fun of him...Anyways that's just my way of seen things.

group pressure. when your guy is with his peers he thinks he has to do something to stand out. there's a lot of competition when you are in a group. also, young guys look for ways to reaffirm their masculinity by being brute and think that being kind and sensitive is considered girlie.

It's a defense mechanism. We want to look strong in front other people. We are more sensitive when we are alone with a gril.
