I have the theory that God cursed Cain with agelessness, then Cain snuck on the ark as a stowaway. Then, when the flood was over with, he snuck back off the ark and is yet roaming the earth today (provided that someone or something hasn't yet killed him). See, despite being a significant figure (first murderer and all that),
the Bible doesn't give him a death, nor does God give him a time limit, like "thou shalt be a fugitive in the earth all thy days". There isn't anything like that. Plus, despite only mentioning Noah and his wife, and Noah's sons and their wives boarding the ark, it doesn't say that they were the only humans that entered the boat. Knowing the Bible's reputation for scanty detail, it wouldn't surprise me if the ark had a certain extra unknown passenger. Everybody, tell me what you think. You think it's great, you think it's a load of bullocks, doesn't matter; I just want to get some opinions on my theory.

The Bible says specifically that only 8 people survived the flood of Noah's day (2 Peter 2:5). Noah, his wife, Shem and his wife, Ham and his wife, and Japheth and his wife. Since the Bible is authored by God, he would have known if there was a secret 9th passenger.

As for Cain's "agelessness", that Bible doesn't teach that either. Life is a gift from God, not a punishment, and Cain was a sinner and sin incurs death (Romans 6:23). Just because the Bible doesn't mention his death doesn't mean he never died. God would not have allowed a wicked person to live forever (Psalm 37:29).

What I believe may or may not please you, but hey, you wanted my honest opinion.

I like your religious interpretation, but think it is probably wrong.

I think that Cain probably IS still alive, but in a REINCARNATED form. I think that God is into recycling.

I admit that your theory is possible.

I do not read the Bible literally. I think it is a collection of myths and history which was constructed by human hands. People forget, embellish, and make up stories altogether. At the same time, I think that it is LARGELY TRUE and has great meaning and good guidance within it.

You should read up on how the Bible was actually created. It appears that at the time that Emporer Constantine converted the Roman Empire to Christianity, there were MANY CHRISTIAN TEXTS roaming around. Each enclave made up their own stories, and it appears that they were OFTEN attributed to PRIOR people with NAME RECOGNITION. A group of people decided which books to include and which to leave out of what they found.

One of my favorite books is: "The Lost Books of the Bible and the Forgotten Books of Eden." It contains some of what was allegedly spread around the Christian communities at the time, but did not make it into the Bible itself. I especially like the Gospel of Nicodemus.

The Bible COULD ALSO all be true, but I believe not. People are quite entitled to the opposing view which is FAIRLY COMMON here in America especially.

With God, ALL IS POSSIBLE. Without God, nothing would have been possible. In between, is what has been and will be, and it is good.

In reality this scenario is at best, a vast statistical improbability.

In Christianity or Judaism it is a bit of a stretch even by their standards. But I could see a few believing it and most likely teased about it.

On a fictional level I find it fascinating & would love to see a book, movie, or miniseries written about it. It would have been a great character to have incorporated into a show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel.

Maybe you should pitch this idea as a miniseries to the various networks. Who knows maybe you’d get rich while giving the public some real entertainment.

Cain couldn't have sneaked away from God, remember that He was able to see Adam and Eve naked while they were still hiding. God didn't give a timeline of life to alot of the people but they were regular humans too so cain would have died by now. And why would cain still be able to be alive but not moses or his family?
