Does anyone out there love golf as much as me? I think it's really fun and a good sport to keep practicing at and get better at. Does anyone else agree with me? If so, what kind of clubs do you have? What do you shoot? Do you think the brand of golf balls matter? How long have you been golfing? Did you play in High School? Thanks.. lets see what people have to say..

I have played golf, recently and frequently... and will again, soon.

But, I suck so bad I'm not worthy to be called a golfer. Most rounds, I feel lucky if the marshall doesn't kick me off after the 1st tee shot.

It's difficult; due to a genetic defect I was born without hand-eye coordination.

But, the game does have a compelling pull on me... I read the articles, I practice the fundamentals, I slow down the pace of play with my pre-shot routine, I refuse to take mulligans and I keep a legitimate (if sad) score card.

I'm 40 now, didn't take up the game till mid-30's so that may explain why my 11 year old son can out-hit me.

But don't pity me: I happen to be a really talented and accomplished bicyclist, racing since I was a kid, so now I know how people who just bought a bike because of Lance-mania feel - fat, awkward, slow, clumsy, wondering what exactly they're doing wrong.

I tell them, "just ride, it's all good."

Yup. I've been golfing since I was a kid, because my uncle owns a course.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a whole lot of time to play in the last few years, and ended up selling off my clubs.

The brand of golf balls doesn't matter so much as what they're made of.
