It personally amazes me how the world seems to constantly focus all its attention on Israel whenever something happens.

Personally I cannot be objective in this because I have friends and family in Israel (some in the north) and my attention would be on this regardless of world media coverage.

But it seems out of balance the moment Hezbollah attacked Israeli post and Israel responded it was front page news on every news station in the world, but it takes hundreds of thousands of people dieing in some God forsaken place in Africa before people start to pay attention.

So why all the attention the minute a bullet is fired in Israel? I cannot even say that it’s evangelical Christian interest because this is a world wide phenomenon it was even the main subject at the G8 conference rather than Iran! So why is it?

Because there has been fighting over there for a really long time. Also because it's the Middle East, and that's the biggest concern with the world right now. This is also the first time that Israel has gone on the offensive. People are really watching this closely because of that.

Also, it does have to do with Christian beliefs as well. The major majority of America, and lots of other countries in the world, is Christian. Israel is a place that's being watched extremely closely right now because of all the talk of the end times. People believe that the war over there is one of the biggest red flags that it will be happening soon.

The fascination is with the people of The Almighty I AM. Knock them off and you take their place. Try as you might, and many nations have tried to rid the world of the Jews but it just ain't gonna happen. They are here to stay, wanna know why? The Bible says they are here til the very end of time. So, no matter what we say or do as the "protectors of Israel" believe it or not those who side with Israel, will undoubtedly be protected defacto. Maybe not as a nation, people in general rather, Jews will be around for the rest of eternity. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Peace is always absence of conflict, so pray Israel wins and wins big.

One of the main reasons is answered by a Bible verse.. The return of the Jews to Israel will be the final event in preparation for the end times (paraphrased).. This event occured in 1948 and has had people watching very closely ever since.. It is the powder keg. Is one of the reasons for the hatred directed at them. Some apparently believe., if they can eliminate Israel, it will change the world events relative to the end times. Many countries have attempted to do just that... eliminate Israel.

EVIDENCE THAT THE EARLIEST CHURCH IN EXISTANCE WAS JEWISH

One of the strongest evidences for this is the presence of many artifacts, clay pots, and lamps, which are engraved with what has come to be called the SEAL OF THE MESSIANIC CHURCH.

The seal has been copyrighted as " Seven Branched Candelabra/Star of David/Fish"

A book entitled "The Messianic Seal of the Jerusalem Church" by Reuven Efraim Schmalz and Raymond Robert Fischer has been published (Olim Publications, P.O. Box 2111,Tiberias, Israel.

Top of Seal see the Seven Branch Candelabra that stood before God in the Temple.

Below that, see the Star of David, which is from the 7th century BC. It is composed of two interlaced, equilateral triangles or DALTHA (D for David). "A star shall come forth from Jacob, and a scepter shall rise from Israel" Numbers 24:17.

Below the star is a fish which is an early Christian symbol in Israel. It was transported to Rome, and by 150 AD. Clement of Alexandria suggested to all his readers that they include the sign of a fish in their personal seals to identify them as Christians. Later the Greek spelling for the word fish ICHTHUS was incorporated. The first five letters of the words that spell "Jesus, Christ, God, Son, and Saviour."

In the Messianic Seal, the cross appears as the Hebrew letter TAW.

The artifacts were discovered in 1990 by Tech Oteeoos, a 90 year old Greek Orthodox monk, in the vicinity of the, what is believed to be, the original Church founded and pastored by James the Just, the half-brother of Jesus. When the actual grotto was excavated by Oteeoos, numerous inscriptions were found on the walls. The period of its use on Mount Zion could only have been from the crucifixion in 30 AD to 135AD.

You must be asleep...You don't see the Christian agenda at all do you? Bottom line is this...Fighting by Jews and Arabs is quietly sanctioned by the Christian nations with an aim of watching both sides weaken eachother. At just the right moment it'll be ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS (Crusaders) marching into Jerusalem to restore their holiest site to their control. That's what is going on, nothing more or less... PEACE!

"Jews is News"

People have always been wildly OBSESSED with the 'eternal people'.

Sadly, to the detriment of others, such as those you mentioned in Africa -- where people are suffering from starvation, ethnic cleansing, and slavery.

The United Nations spends about 1/3 of its time and money bashing the 5 million Jews of Israel, instead of helping the world's real trouble regions.

Because Israel is still trying to make everyone feel guilty for what happened in WW II. That was over 60 years ago. Get over it.

It's a distraction from their conscience. There's nothing they can do about the fighting in Israel so let's talk about it.

There's plenty to be done in Darfur, but let's not talk about it because then we might feel guilty about doing nothing about the first genocide of the 21st century!

Jewish lives re more precious than others, did you not know ? Arabs are expendable.

Israel has policy of killing 10 Arabs for every Jew. The policy does not seem to have achieved anything, but they still do it. It feels good I suppose.
